JA getting suspended is fine by me.
They might have just as well suspended him for the last three games since it doesn't appear that he wants to play for the Packers anyway.

I’m not buying the bullshit people are saying that he doesn’t want to play for the Packers. Where’s the evidence of that? He’s been hurt…sure he’s been practicing, but so has Aaron Jones and he has missed a lot of the season.

That being said, it was dumb as hell what he did, and he does deserve to be punished. Not sure a suspension is what I would’ve done, maybe just a hefty fine. Could use him going up against Jefferson this week.

When is Joe Barry going to get suspended for incompetence every week?

Packers FO will be quick to deal with players but not coaches. Amazing

The few fans trying to compare Joe Barry being incompetent at his job to a player doing whatever he wants and almost costing the team a possession really makes me question if Packers fans are the smartest.

"The decision to suspend a player is never easy and not one we take lightly. Unfortunately, Jaire's actions prior to the game in Carolina led us to take this step. As an organization, we have an expectation that everyone puts the team first. While we are disappointed, we had a good conversation with Jaire this morning and fully expect him to learn from this as we move forward together. We look forward to welcoming him back next week as he is a valued member of this team and will continue to be in the future." - Brian Gutekunst

The part that sticks out to me is "Jaire's actions prior to the game in Carolina" and does that mean there were prior incidents?
Jaire standing up on a table shouting "two minutes", "90 seconds", "one minute", "30 seconds" at the media letting them know when media availability ends.
Jaire telling the media who's about to ask him questions that's going to lie.

Maybe those (and other unmentioned) incidents factored in? What I've seen some people say is "big deal, it was a coin toss". If Jaire wanted to be a captain, why not go to him? Why circumvent the already stated captains? And what fans SHOULD be upset about is Jaire almost gave the Panthers an extra possession because he screwed up.

Also, I wonder if this will have any impact on his contract money.

I don't like this from a situation where we might want to trade him (he has a huge dead cap hit though), but our suspending him may certainly hurt any decent trade returns.

I wonder what happened, based on the public information, I don't think there is enough to suspend him, I think something happened that fans don't know about...

That or something minor that Alexander has been warned about multiple times.

But I don't think it was just the Panthers coin toss issue. That didn't help, but I think something else happened.

dfosterf (35m) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (35m) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (38m) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (41m) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (43m) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (43m) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (46m) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (47m) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (49m) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (1h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (1h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (1h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (1h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (3h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (3h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (3h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (18h) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : Too bad camera's can't spot the ball as well.
Mucky Tundra (1-Apr) : So will the chain gang be gone completely or will they still be around as a backup or whatever?
