Ok in the spirit of the comparisons lets go lol

Favre 0-3 as a Packer vs the Cowboys in the playoffs
Love 1-0

Rodgers 0-4 against the 49ers in the Playoffs?
Love ? Could he pass the 2 greats in his 1st year lol

I think we get manhandled this week, I don't see our defense stopping the 49ers offense. But if somehow we did how great would it be to have to face the Lions for a trip to the Super Bowl. Remember how they celebrated last year because they kept us from the playoffs, imagine stopping them from their 1st ever appearance in a Super Bowl lol. I know it's a little dream but we aren't supposed to be here this week so you never know.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

In 2008, Aaron Rodgers signed a 5-year extension making him the 4th highest paid QB (Peyton Manning, Palmer, Rothlisberger).

If Jordan Love, with near identical numbers to 2008 Rodgers, becomes the 4th highest paid QB it would take $51-$52 million APY (Burrow, Herbert, Jackson).

Since The Packers extended J-1OVE at the beginning of this year instead of picking up his 5th year option, they cannot do anything until May 1st of next year.
I'm not sure what other qb's are inline for a new contract between now and then, but the price is only going to go up.

These contracts are not about actual Dollar Value, it's all about THE GUARANTEED MONEY and signing bonuses.
I would love to see The Packers do a deal like Mahonnes originally signed. only the amount per year would be a little more.

10 years.....$500mil.....250mil guaranteed. With an "option out clause after 5 years"

That gives The Packers a chance to add a couple of void years and be able to spread the 250mil out over 13 years.
That's 19.25 mil a year plus his base salary.
Which will keep his Salary cap hit down for the first five years while they play with all the new guys on offense.

I don't claim to be an expert on the salary cap but with these qb contracts there are ways to keep the cap hit down.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Incidentally, the Packers are the oldest NFL team in continuous operation never to have moved or changed its name. The Chicago Bears (formerly Decatur Staleys, then Chicago Staleys) are one of only two original teams remaining in the league, the other being the Arizona Cardinals (formerly Chicago Cardinals, then Card-Pitt, then St. Louis Cardinals, then Phoenix Cardinals). The Cardinals actually trace their lineage all the way back to the Morgan Athletic Club, which was founded in 1898 -- kind of crazy when you think about it. They secured territorial rights to Chicago by winning a match against the Tigers by a score of 6-0.

Referring to Rourke,

I say the Packers win this week along with the Lions because of the storylines that can be written. Let's look at the other matchups with storylines. Lions vs 49ers. The Lions going for their 1st Super Bowl and the 49ers going to tie for most Vince Lombardi trophies. Bucs vs 49ers Ummm Baker Mayfield vs 49ers going for most trophies. Now how about Bucs vs Packers Mayfield as a comeback player vs a team that was embarrassed at the hands of the Bucs just a few years ago and lost a chance to get to the Super Bowl?
But Let's get into what would for sure make the rivalry become one we haven't seen in decades to the point fans will hate each other. As an older fan, I have a soft spot for the loveable cubbies from Michigan. To think we gave them the last 0-16 season and ran the score up with a backup QB. The Lions will be going for their 1st ever Super Bowl, and the Packers going to add to their league-leading 13 championships. The Lions celebrated like they won the Super Bowl when they kept the Packers from the playoffs last year, The Packers would want revenge. So besides that can you imagine the rap battle that could take place Lil Wayne vs Eminem lol.

So to me, the NFL and Media would peak more interest in a Lions Vs Packers championship game than any other combination.
But I will be shocked if we get by the 49ers as they have a very potent offense, that can be stopped. Run the same type of coverage and double up Samuel, and Jaire on Ayuik, stop the run, and hit Purdy, because I still am not sold on Purdy in big games.

Let's Go Pack

49ers 31-28

game winning kick as time expires as per the usual Barry calls for a prevent defense not to give up a TD but gets into FG range with ease.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

beast (36m) : Not nessarily, he might of been injured either way. He's playing about 50% of the games the last 4 years
Zero2Cool (7h) : If they'd been more patient with him, he'd be back already. Putting him out there vs Bears caused him to tweak it and here we are.
packerfanoutwest (7h) : well this is his last season with the PAck, book it
beast (8h) : Sounds like no Alexander (again), I'm wondering if his time with the Packers is done
Zero2Cool (15h) : Could ban beast and I still don't think anyone catches him.
Mucky Tundra (26-Dec) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (25-Dec) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas!
beast (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
