I respect Warner's opinion but I am still disappointed with what he have seen from Love. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I would have thought 3 years in waiting would have been enough for him to be just a little further down the road in his reads and timing. Most of those sacks yesterday were on him. He can't sit there and drink a cup of coffee. He has 3 seconds at the most. Usually only 2.5 seconds.
Year after year we see backups come into a game and light up the Packers. They can throw on the run. They hit the receiver in the numbers. They look good on their check downs. These QBs are not Pro Bowlers but they have been playing for years and know what they are supposed to do. They don't stick around long because they don't have the overall skill and athleticism that Love possesses. Perhaps he is pressing too much. I don't know the reason but he has issues with the deep ball, his timing and accuracy. I don't see him flipping the switch and becoming a top 15 QB any time soon.
