The Chicago game might have been his last game as a Packer and as a pro.

It would be nice to have more information about this. Is it just swelling from prior surgeries? Does he need surgery again? Did he re-injure it in the bears game? In practice? Getting out of bed?

I think he may be done as a Packer, and maybe as a pro. If there was such a thing as a “bust” for NFL contracts like there is for the draft, he would be on that list. He’s great when he’s on the field, but you can’t trust him to be ready to play week in and week out. I’m over it.

We got this weekend off, then next Monday is our next game. Then the next week is our bye, correct? Maximizing Bakh's rest time, allowing us to use the roster spot.

Used up Patrick Taylor's call ups in the first three games already. Roster spot should be useful here. Plus Stokes will probly be coming off PUP.

One could quibble the Packers should have traded Bakh when they had a chance but if his knees this messed up I doubt he would have passed any physical.

I like Rasheed tho, but he's young, I hope he holds up against these Detroit pass rushers, pretty good. Hope he keeps his confidence, gonna be a very good player if/when he gets close to his ceiling.

And the problem with trading him to the Jets (besides the turf field) is that it strengthens the Jets and hurts whatever pick is coming back in return. Given the sorry state of the Jets line, I'm not sure Rodgers would survive a whole season in one piece even if Bakh was there.

I suppose you could have traded him after last season for cents on the dollar (day 3 picks) since he was playing well last year and missed time at the end of the year with an issue that had nothing to do with his knee. But if you're eating his contract in that scenario you might as well keep him around to keep the new QB upright.

In the end, Bakhs cap hit made it hard to move him and if you're gonna eat his contract from cutting him, might as well keep him around and try and squeeze another season out of him.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
