Apparently, Halas Hall and DC Alan Williams home was raided by FBI.

There is a lot of speculation running amok on the Tweeter. I'll try to avoid from some of it because I don't want to associate some of the heinous claims here, but my gosh. The Bears are a poop show of epic proportions.

Update. Statement.

This Alan Williams/Chicago Bears situation is wild;

• Reports first pop off saying his home and Halas Hall was raided this morning.
• HC Eberflus was informed by former Bears CB now FBI informant Charles “Peanut” Tillman about the raid, and Eberflus was in tears about the entire situation.
• Then an hour later Alan Williams resigns from his positions of DC to take care of his health and his family in a written statement.
• Now a team spokesperson has made a statement saying Halas Hall was NOT raided.
• Chicago will have a statement released later on today about the entire situation.

A lot is happening in Chicago.

If correct, then in theory, it might of been raided in connection to something else... at the very least, according to PFT's account they have not yet denied it getting raided for other reasons.

The team calls those rumors false, and the team said that police have not been to Halas Hall in connection with Williams.

An excellent point.

Spokespeople parse words carefully and if they had not been raided, they would have said "Halas hall has not been raided."

Looking at NFL "beat" reporters tweets from today and they all painted a "its bad" picture without getting into details (assuming they dont want to burn a source).

After a lot of vague reporting yesterday, McAfee comes out swinging and firmly says that Williams house did get raided despite a denial by Williams lawyer Michael Stroth. McAfee and Williams were both on the Colts from 2009 to 2011 and McAfee potentially has contacts close to Williams.

With everyone keeping so tight lip about this but saying how horrible the rumors are, and the one report someone on the Bears was crying, I was thinking children had to be involved. Unrelated to this story, there was something in the news were a daycare had fentanyl in the closet and the kids got into the closet and one kid died.

But the Pat MacAfee's crew claimed the majority of the internet rumors (JUST RUMORS) is child pornography makes sense, and why no one has reported anything, as if they don't charge him, they don't want to be turned around and sued, so they're just waiting for potential charges. Before they say anything.

I haven't heard of this site before, but SportsMockery  is basically saying it was not a raid, but the Police Forensic team did visit the Bears.

As to the Halas Hall situation, this is where the word “raid” comes into focus. ... There was no raid on the building. However, sources informed SM that an FBI forensics and tech team was there at some point in the past few days. So, while not a raid in the traditional sense, it’s becoming clear law enforcement is gathering information on Williams’ activities. If it involves the FBI, whatever is going on must be serious. The only question is what that is.

Now I'm not saying he's guilty, just that if law enforcement didn't raid his house for something, they would be yelling that this didn't happen?

So I think law enforcement are absolutely looking into something, weather or not they find anything illegal is a different story.

Maybe now we know why the Police WERE there, in connection to, $100,000 stolen gators and lawn mowers equipment.

The team calls those rumors false, and the team said that police have not been to Halas Hall in connection with Williams.

More than $100,000 of equipment was stolen from Soldier Field, according to ABC 7 in Chicago.

The equipment included gators and lawn mowers, and happened overnight Wednesday when someone tore down a security fence to drive the equipment out of a garage.
