My surprises are:
Wilson RB. I really expected only two RB but I added Taylor on for now. He does pass block and contributes to ST.

11 OL. That's a haul. Especially since they didn't draft a single OL this year. I realize they can move Tenuta OT to IR. Still 11 is a lot of beef. Especially with 5 others in front of him. How often does the OT6 get into a game? Really looking like Bak is gone by season's end. 

I like J Ford NT but figured he would be a numbers casualty. Looks like they do not want Clark playing over center very often.

Cox EDGE making the team is not a surprise. I have gone back and forth on him making it or not. In my last 53 I left him off due to a numbers thing. He's exciting but he is raw. It will be interesting to see how he Brooks and Wooden develop over the next few years.

Carpenter ILB is one of my bigger surprises. I didn't see him do much of anything. And at ILB5 why? Unless Campbell is heading to IR.

Only 4 CB is my biggest surprise. I don't remember when they had only 4. Perhaps Johnson will fillin as needed until Stokes' return.

I've seen people say they will keep 5 safeties but when I look at the group I wonder why.

The depth at ILB and S is because they're key STers. They have been keeping 5 ILBers a number of times now. 

Not sure Carpenter was the best ST LB left available, but if it's close, Gute does like his draft picks. Also be might be able to get the other guy back on the PS.

I don't think they ever started with 4 CBs before, but I remember one year that due to injuries they only had four towards the end of the season.

I'm sort of wondering if the plan might be to IR two guys and bring back the LS and an CB. Otherwise, you better trust your Safety to play CB in an emergency situation.
