As a season ticket holder I received an email today. Here is what they told me about the potential to flex games:

While the Packers always appreciate the opportunity to showcase Lambeau Field and our community to a nationwide audience during primetime games, sometimes those opportunities come up with shorter notice than others, which can have an impact on Packers fans and Season Ticket Holders.

Since 2006, when flexible scheduling was first introduced, we’ve become accustomed to having our games on Sundays adjusted to allow for more favorable matchups on Sunday Night Football and in the later afternoon window. But this year, the NFL has expanded their flexible scheduling procedures to include Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football, meaning that a game originally scheduled for Sunday could be played on Monday night or Thursday night, or vice versa.
The following 2023 Packers home games are designated as potential flex games: Minnesota Vikings (Oct. 29), Los Angeles Rams (Nov. 5), Los Angeles Chargers (Nov. 19), Kansas City Chiefs (Dec. 3) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Dec. 17).  If any games are flexed, an announcement will be made at least 12 days in advance. The schedule for Week 18 will be announced no later than six days prior to that week’s Saturday game.

We understand that the possibility of having games flexed into or out of Monday or Thursday night games presents plenty of potential challenges for our fans, particularly those traveling to Green Bay that may have to adjust their lodging and transportation arrangements. This decision was made on a league level to provide the greatest value to our broadcast partners and ensure a quality matchup, particularly later in the season when there are playoff implications.

We will do everything we can to give as much notice as possible to our fans if any of our games are flexed. More information about the NFL’s flexible scheduling procedures are available here .

According to Adam Schefter, a vote of 24-8 passed the resolution, the eight teams against the proposal being the Giants, Jets, Packers, Bears, Raiders, Detroit, Bengals, and Pittsburgh. SI.com's Albert Breer reported that Denver and Carolina, both of whom abstained from the vote in March, voted in favor of the change this time around. Giants co-owner John Mara openly spoke out against the concept back in late March during the league's annual meetings, “I am adamantly opposed to that,” Mara told reporters. “Flexible scheduling, as it is, is inconsiderate to our season ticket holders and the people who fill our stadiums every week. People have gotten used to going from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night [when a game is flexed]. That doesn’t mean that they like it. This year, we can be flexed to Monday night, which I think is inconsiderate to our ticket holders. “But to flex a game back to Thursday night, to me, is just abusive, and I am adamantly opposed to it.” After the vote passed Monday, Mara wasn't backing down from his stance, telling the NFL Network's Judy Battista, "I’m disappointed, but certainly not surprised.”

It sounded like Yahoo was disappointed with their Thursday Night streaming numbers and Goodell is pushing the idea that streaming is absolutely the future of football on TV.

Goodell was reportedly trying to twist owners arms to vote yes for this.

The NFC North division was the only division more against it. Also in this thread , you can read how the teams that voted against Goodell in the first vote, just happened to get more Thursday night games this year, than the teams that agreed with him. Totally random, and not related, I'm sure 😉

I think I see the issue. We cannot create a link for the quote "author".

Oh, here is another change (in life) that I realized when working with older co-workers. When ending one sentence and before starting a new one, are you supposed to put one or two spaces?

Currently only supposed to put one space, but I guess it used to be taught that two spaces was proper for typewriters and it carried over into the early decades of computers.

I learned that after seeing multiple co-workers do it and asked them, and they told me I was typing improperly lol... I told them I have never heard that, and I wanted to let it go but one of them just hand to look it up because they always "want to learn" (really I think they like challenging people on random subjects) but they found that all major writing guides stop forcing the double spacing by 2002 or 2005 (something like that) and I think APA was the last one that had it as an option which changed in 2019 to only allow single space.

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
