I thought this was interesting:

When working during an individual-drills period, the No. 1 line was left tackle David Bakhtiari, left guard Elgton Jenkins, center Josh Myers, right guard Jon Runyan and right tackle Zach Tom.

Seems like the media is trying to get everyone hyped up about the success of the passing attack ...

BUT buried in the notes of not on the field practicing includes CBs Alexander, Douglas, Stokes and Nixon...

So... why is the media trying to get us excited about a 1st string WR beating a 3rd string CB? Are we supposed to be excited about that?

As for the starting OL, I feel like that's just the expected too... that's the lineup we ended the season with... and they continue to bench Nijman when they have another decent option and Tom has much better long term potential.

Plus, sooner they can get Tom his reps, the sooner they can bounce him around to other spots as sounds like they'll be working him at Center and RG too.

And Nijman is still getting 1st string RT snaps, just sounds like Tom is getting the first half and Nijman is getting the second half.

Tom (PFF: 68, 0 penalties, 1 sack) was a better player than Nijman (PFF: 63, 10 penalties, 5 sacks) last year, and if he takes a second-year jump he could be very good. It's a relatively small sample size for Tom though.

That said, this will be Nijman's third year potentially playing meaningful snaps (he was very raw and more or less unused in his first two seasons), so there's still a chance he could take a jump as well. But at 27 years old he probably is who he is.

Another interesting thing I saw was that when Bahktari was subbed out, Caleb Jones was put in at LT rather than Nijman. It's OTAs so best not to read into that too much, but it looks like they want Nijman to continue to focus on RT. Or maybe Jones is looking decent?

Well , they have to write about something!
IF the offense does well, does that mean the offense is going to be great?
Or does it mean the defense will suck?
Seriously,  playing only against your own team doesn't mean a whole lot at this point in time.

Yes, playing against your own team in shorts doesn't say much, HOWEVER, you can be exposed.

I've heard/read this from players and coaches so I'll puke it out here.
If a player stinks in shorts, you can bet they'll stink in pads.
If a player rocks out in shorts, it doesn't mean they'll rock out in pads, but it gives you more hope they will.

Basically, they're saying you can show you stink in off-season, but the true telling of if you're good won't come until preseason and especially regular season when the "lights" are on.
