What are your biggest draft surprises?

Here are mine, at least my Packers ones

(Kicker in the 3rd should be on any entire NFL list but as far as just Packers)

4) Penn State QB in the 5th

3) Packers changed what they're looking for? They drafted some of the lightest WRs and DT they're drafted under Gute!

2) No Safety for Pack (at least not as far as the first 200 or so picks)

1) No OL for Pack (at least not in the first 200 or so picks)

Beast, I think you are spot on. The lack of offensive line help is the most disappointing to me. Not that anybody we would have drafted would’ve been an immediate starter necessarily unless it was a first rounder, but I think having a new quarterback under center would have led me to get somebody very strong at right tackle.

I would hate for Love to get injured because of inadequate protection especially on the right side
Go Packers!!!!

For sure the lack of drafting a Safety.  The fact we traded the pick to Detroit which they used on Branch makes me afraid we will regret that trade.

Surprised that we have only traded back and used all the draft picks accumulated so far.  Seems like many of our draft picks may end up on the practice squad and be potential players for other teams.

Surprised we haven't drafted a RB.  Maybe 7th round.

No CB or OL drafted so far.

Surprised Christian Gonzalez was available and we passed on him.  I guess we really wanted Van Ness.

No online.

THREE edge rushers.  Each of whom has "versatility." Does Preston make this team?

Another big surprise is that a common trend of our 2023 draft picks is that they had a better 2021 than 2022, as they were injured in 2022 (or had a worse supporting cast in 2022).

I would say taking a safety so late.

No OL is somewhat of a surprise considering they usually nab 2 or more. Though they did take 6 in the last two years and I think all are still on the team.

dfosterf (15-May) : ChiCity Sports entering freakout mode due to Caleb and his dad not wanting him to go there
