The Packers actually went EDGE just like I inked up in my little goofy mock. 🙂 They just went with the better player.

List of guys who I mocked in round one but the NFL got wrong.
  1. QB    Will Levis
  2. TE    Michael Mayer
  3. S    Brian Branch
  4. LB    Keion White
  5. TE    Darnell Washington
  6. CB    Joey Porter Jr
  7. G    O'Cyrus Torrence

List of guys the NFL selected in round one and are wrong.
  1. RB    Jahmyr Gibbs
  2. DE    Will McDonald IV
  3. CB    Emmanuel Forbes
  4. LB    Jack Campbell
  5. DT    Mazi Smith
  6. OT    Anton Harrison
  7. DT    Bryan Bresee

Of the 31 I had going in round one, 24 actually got selected. Kind of neat useless exercise.

Oh and the excuse that they did not draft QB Levis in the 1st because of a toe thing is totally BS and reporters look horrible for even suggestimg that might be it... just admit it, the kid is inconsistent and not enough upside for them to take the risk yet, mixed with QB need.

I did that because I think teams that need a QB tend to reach and I forgot about Desmond Ridder. Hey, there's a reason I am NOT a General Manager okay! Anyhow, here's a text I sent my dad a bit ago.

I will say this about Will Levis. I think I'd have the same opinion of Brett Favre as I do of him. And that is if he can land with a coaching staff that is can develop QB's, he'll turn into something.

What does that mean? I think guys like Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, etc ... I think those guys would have been Tier 1 NFL QB's regardless, but I think guys like Jeff George, Jay Cutler, Josh Rosen, Will Levis, etc ... they need to be COACHED into greatness.

I know I kind of don't make sense, but I'm gonna blame being under the weather as my excuse. I don't have one for the other 45,000 posts though.

dfosterf (12m) : The white background beta was hard to read, especially the quotes
dfosterf (28m) : Hopefully the color scheme remains the same
dfosterf (35m) : *Friday*
dfosterf (38m) : 100 million would be 539 million as of Fridsy
dfosterf (38m) : Heck, they could have taken a hundred milliion and invested in DAVE inc. last year (semi random, humor, but real)
dfosterf (50m) : Beer brat and ticket is where the money comes from

beast (1h) : That being said, I'm not saying all 100% should be that way, but not surprised if majority are Wisconsin based
beast (1h) : And if everyone has heard of them, then it it probably has less growth potential and less community based

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
