I just find it interesting how the world works sometimes.
In 2020 the Green Bay Packers got two players from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, California. Namely 1st round pick QB Jordan Love and undrafted free agent LB Krys Barnes.
Despite sitting on the bench for three years, and not getting much on field value out of QB Love, the Packers reward him with a starting opportunity in 2023 (it's probably deserved, I don't mean to imply it's wrong, just pointing out the oddities of life and ever changing).
Meanwhile ILB Barnes became an unlikely starter, giving the Packers absolutely great value out of an UDFA contract, and his reward? A pink slip...
Life sometimes seems strange... the guy that gave great on field value so far gets punished and the guy that gotten poor on field value gets rewarded...
Supply and demand... there was a large supply of ILB and not enough demand for his services, and a huge demand for QBs and not a big enough supply of them.
Sorry, just my rantings, I was thinking it would be cool for these two highschool teammates to keep being teammates, sadly looks like that time is over.
