Maybe it's time to do some RB screens or quick slants to slow down the pass rush.

Run some screens and traps, slow down that pass rush.

Great points...these are coaching basics, and they seem to be absent from our repertoire.

Mr Beast wrote in response to my assertion that our personnel are below average in run blocking with Myers being the best IMO:

Meh, almost all the Packers PFF run blocking grades are between 60.5 and 63... Myers doesn't stand out...The three exceptions are Jenkins, 81.4, Runyan 50.3 and Tom 44.7...

But I think it's also important to note, I think the Packers OL is trying to be more in a pass blocking set up, more than run setup, because they know passes are going to happen more often and Packers use quick passes to the outside a bit as part of the run game.

Sorry, fish ain't biting:
• PFF grades identify the very good and very bad, but they view a screen out block with the same grade as root out block. Regardless other than Myers and Jenkins, there is very little backward movement of the opponents defensive line on most runs, and
  • the 'short passes' as part of a run game is baloney. It ignores the obvious deficiencies in our capabilities
Finally, my point re Adams was not that we should have resigned him, but that his presence elevated (and hid) the lack of talent elsewhere at the position. I like Doubs, and I wish Watson would get his ass on the field. If someone gets me an address, I can send him some of my Vagisil.

Thanks for the address. It is on its way!!

I hope Mr. Watson uses it liberally...but washes his hands thoroughly after use. We don't any more excuses for drops.

buckeyepackfan (17-Nov) : Jaire and Evans Williams are both ACTIVE! Good news.
Martha Careful (17-Nov) : The badgers really need to change the whole offensive scheme. No draws no screens plus the quarterback is marginal
Cheesey (17-Nov) : If the Badgers had a decent QB, they would have won. The guy can't hit a wide open receiver
Martha Careful (17-Nov) : chop block
Martha Careful (17-Nov) : there was a very questionable job Block call that upon viewing replay was very borderline
    beast (17-Nov) : How so? (I didn't watch)
