Matt LaFleur best friend is Robert Saleh. And sure sounds like Saleh is saying here to keep punching them because they'll quit. That's basically what we've all seen from this team though. They have a plan until someone punches them in the mouth, then they crumble like a sugar cookie.

It seems they have no pride or heart.
If MLF can't light a fire under them, then get someone who will.

If it were only that simple...but I don't suspect it is....it's not the fire failing to be lit, its the fuel being lit.

This team is soft.

The only guy on the O Line who can consistently dominate on a run block is Myers. Jenkins at guard can as well. None of out offensive linemen get movement on run blocks, they simply engage for a second or two, hope the running back clears, then adjust their pads and walk back to the huddle. None have the drive (or stones) that Runyan's father did.

The tight ends, other than Lewis are cupcakes in run blocking.

Those the types of players we have drafted, pass first, run second.

If, in fact, the MLF offense is predicated on run first, the approach does not fit the personnel.

So that brings us to the pass game. It is readily apparent why Rodgers threw so much to Adams. NOONE ELSE CAN GET OPEN. Whether it is uncreative schemes, or just slow ass receivers, there is not much there. Last year the attention shown to Adams allowed Lazard to have fewer people, and generally the second or third best DB on the opposition in coverage. Now it is a different story.

Also, it it just me, but when I watch other teams, there are tons of picks and rubs and quick complementary crossing patterns...I don't see them with the Packers.

AND we have a new OC. He was a terrific Oline coach, but perhaps we have the "Peter Principle" i.e. people in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.

On the defensive side, there has been enough bitching about the DC so I will not pile on.

But I have been disappointed with Clark. Lowry is just a guy. Slaton and Reed have yet to show they can dominate even a series, much less the better part of a game. Quay is terrific in pass coverage but poor against the run. Coupled with a two deep approach, this combination leads to getting punched in the mouth repeatedly.

True. Adams wasn't just a great receiver, his greatness opened up opportunity for guys like Lizard and the rest. Now that is gone, and we are seeing the reality of just how important it is to have a REAL #1 WR.
The defense isn't scared of the guys we have getting open.

It is okay acknowledge he's not been the Aaron Rodgers we are used to seeing. He's throwing off target passes in the flat, over the middle, down the sidelines. I mean, it's just erratic and then he'll throw one of those rare passes and we get teased thinking OK here we go! Then it's back to underthrowing 87 who was BEHIND THE SECONDARY and then 12 gets pissed off at 87.

I for one was glad to see Romeo Doubs pissed off at a bad throw.

Something that goes in defense of Aaron Rodgers. He's not getting a crap ton of time in the pocket. Maybe it's time to do some RB screens or quick slants to slow down the pass rush.

Meh, almost all the Packers PFF run blocking grades are between 60.5 and 63... Myers doesn't stand out...

The three exceptions are Jenkins, 81.4, Runyan 50.3 and Tom 44.7...

But I think it's also important to note, I think the Packers OL is trying to be more in a pass blocking set up, more than run setup, because they know passes are going to happen more often and Packers use quick passes to the outside a bit as part of the run game.

As for the pass blocking, Bakhtiari is back on top with 82.1, but Nijman and Runyan are not far behind with 79s. Myers at 72 and then a huge ass drop to Jenkins at 59... and Newman, Tom and Hanson all in the horrible range.

Based on these, once again, as many of us have said...

Bakhtiari and Nijman should be the OTs, with Jenkins, Runyan and Myers on the inside.

Unless your planning to make a trade for another player, there is absolutely no reason not to make changes now...

Sammy Watkins might be back soon, let's see if he can still take the top off consistently. This team always goes through these shit sucking periods. It's a long season.

And btw, I'm glad they didn't pay Davante. Our cap is screwed quite enough the way it is.

Look how they moved the ball in the last drive of the first half. Why can't they do that all game?

I don't care how great your QB is. If he has no time in the pocket, he's not going to make good throws.
And who says AR was pissed at the WRs? He was shaking his head. How do you know he wasn't upset at himself? Are there mind readers on here?
How much is his damaged thumb affecting his throws?

The O-line is getting him killed.
If he survives anymore games, I'll be surprised.

Matt LaFleur has zero killer instinct in him. His friends look forward to bullying him around in matchups. What does Matt say? He says it's always hard playing friends and I think even said weird or something.

Dude, grow a pair and I don't mean eye brows.

Obviously his friends have no problem kicking the crap out of HIS team.
He has to stop trying to be a buddy to the players and put some fear in them. Like, if you don't do your job, you will be GONE.
