I don't think Bakhtiari is fully healthy, abd therefore Nijman is there to stay. And truth be told, Nijman is playing better than Bakhtiari...
Based on PFF scores where average is usually somewhere between 65 and 70... and ideally you want better
Bakhtiari
Pass: 73.0
Run: 50.4 (poor)
Overall: 58.5
60th of 72 OTs
Nijman
Pass: 79.2
Run: 61.6
Overall: 70.1
26th of 72 OTs
Jenkins
Pass: 60.8 (almost poor)
Run: 81.3 (almost elite)
Overall: 76.0
13th of 72 OTs
==================
Now Interior
Myers
Pass: 73.3
Run: 62.1
Overall: 64.9
13th of 39 Cs
Runyan
Pass: 85.0 (elite)
Run: 56.2 (poor)
Overall: 66.0
18th of 74 OGs
Newman
Pass: 56.6 (poor)
Run: 66.3
Overall: 64.0
24th of 74 OGs
It kind of looks like Bakhtiari should be on the bench right now...
One has to wonder how Runyan would do at OT, though they always said he's an OG from the start, probably due to his shorter arms.
I know this idea is absolutely crazy, but if you really want the 5 best blockers starting, right now, it honestly MIGHT be
Nijman, Runyan, Myers, Jenkins and Lewis
Now, in all honesty, I have no idea how Lewis would do at a full time OL, but his current blocking ratings.are fairly good.
TE Lewis
Pass: 61.6 (5th best)
Run: 67.7 (2nd to only Jenkins)
Receiving: 47.3 (Very poor)
Overall: 62.9
24th of 68 TEs
But instead of Nijman looking nat RT, maybe Bakhtiari should be looking at RT.
