I think it’s pretty obvious that the Packers are not coached very well. When us as fans can predict exactly what’s going to happen on both sides of the ball, that’s bad.

LaFleur continuously has this team coming out flat week after week. Barry is his usual suck ass self.

Rich B is the only improvement I’ve seen from last year.

Piss poor.

I think Matt is the man, these lulls go back before his time.

Barry needs Matt telling him what to do, apparently.

They aren't coaching the DBs to hold or PI.
They aren't coaching them to commit stupid penalties.
It's on the players to DO THIER JOBS. And so far, the players are NOT getting it done.
No amount of coaching can fix players that constantly do stupid stuff on the field.
These guys need to chew each other out and get their you know what together.
Again, a 60 minute game that they only played for 30 minutes.

I am starting to wonder if Matt LaFleur is becoming more friends with the players, than coach of the players.

Some of the stuff on defense, clearly not Joe Barry, but I will repeatedly harp on this. Packers playing 5 plus yards off WR's is crap. And Barry cannot adjust mid quarter or mid half. He does adjust between halves, that's it.

Giants came out with major tendency changes in 2nd half and he had nothing at all. When Jones showed his ankle is enough for him to move, you spy him. Nope. Kept banking on that Jones wouldn't do it a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th time.

The flags on defense really hurt big time. Eliminate the flags and Packers win this game. Joe Barry is still trash though. He's not aggressive enough for my liking. If you're going to play Zone, you blitz like a mofo with your DB's close.

I think the plane ride home from London, they should play every penalty and bad play over and over with the volume up FULL, so no one can sleep.
Make them have to watch the horrible game that WE watched.

MLF misses Davante Adams more than Aaron does, imo. We don't know if Aaron is checking out of MLF's play calling, but I suspect he isn't. Stick to the running game when it's working, Matt!

As to Joe Barry and this defense. You have Joe seeming to play 2 deep safety zone, very minimal blitz packages, a shell zone that still leaves no-name wide receivers wide open, and I emphasize wide open. He seems to think his defensive schemes do not need tweaking to defend against an offenses strengths. I hate him as our defensive coordinator. He came here with a terrible pedigree, the hiring still makes no sense, and he is incapable of utilizing the talent we do have to anything close to its potential.
Rodgers deep ball has been consistently way off base, but to me, that is the least of our worries. He'll, I'm more worried he's going to tell us to RELAX. I'm not gonna, don't want to. 😤

Yeah, seeing players on other teams constantly being WIDE OPEN, while our WRs are blanket covered is FRUSTRATING!!!
Making average QBs look like Joe Montana every week sucks.
And unless changes are made, it won't change.
And our offense shows no ability to overcome our lousy defense.

IMO the Packers need a better defensive play caller, one that can/will adjust.

Also, no matter whom is calling the plays, they need to tackle much much better... last year, Barry focused on teaching the tackling and looks like the defense has forgotten about it this year.

Also, the RG and RT can't seem to work together we'll enough, or not on the same page often enough... I don't have a clue whose fault that is, but there should be trying something different... even if you just bench a guy for t a half, to piss him off, do something different.

And we need to start treating this office as a run first offense until the passing game can consistently be on the same page.

If only MLF would tell the prima donna to run the fucking plays he calls. And what coach only gave Dillon and Jones the ball 6 and 13 times each?

dfosterf (10h) : Just gotta figure out how.
dfosterf (10h) : Could have been a worse start, so there is that.
beast (11h) : Yeah, someone tell the Packers football season has started, seems like they weren't ready for it
Mucky Tundra (11h) : Sooooooo many penalties
Mucky Tundra (11h) : It may only be preseason, but this game is a trip to the dentist

Zero2Cool (19h) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (19h) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Zero- Did you see what I posted about Voice of Reason and his wife? She posted over at fleaflicker that they are both "In"
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
dfosterf (7-Aug) : out on a field trip, outfitting them with little yellow smocks. Most of the little folk were well behaved, but several were like trying
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Yesterday my wife and I spent the afternoon on the waterfront here in Alexandria, Va. A daycare company took about 15 three/four year olds
wpr (7-Aug) : seems faster. yay
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Wife of reason posted on the in/out thread on fleaflicker that both she and vor are in
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : This page was generated in 0.135 seconds.
Mucky Tundra (7-Aug) : Tbh, I can never tell the difference in speed unless it's completely shitting the bed
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Sure does feel like site is more snappy
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy
Mucky Tundra (3-Aug) : Update: Rock has tried a cheese curd, promises it's not his last
