I get that Joe Barry loves playing conservative coverages and that it's part of the Vic Fangio scheme (which I believe is a real good scheme)...

But that doesn't mean you have to do the same exact thing the entire game...

Last year, when the pass rushers we're beat up, against the Bears, Browns, Ravens etc... the pass rushers were running on fumes by the 4th quarter and I thought Barry should notice this and get a bit more aggressive, especially since Browns were struggling a bit, Fields was a rookie starting QB for the Bears and Ravens were using a mobile backup QB...

Instead Barry stayed extremely conservative, Browns lost by 2 scoring 22, Ravens (with backup QB) lost by 1 scoring 30 and Bears (with rookie QB) lost by 15 scoring 30....

Then so far this year, in games against the Vikings and Bears, he's stayed extremely conservative still...

Which honestly I get it with the Vikings, they have a lot of weapons, and it'd be a lot of adjustments and they would probably beat us in other ways and maybe even worse if we got more aggressive.

But against the Bears? Their biggest threats are back field players (RB or QB) running the ball...

I mean, I'm surprised I didn't notice them even simply use an ILB as a spy expecting Fields to run it at some point. That's not that aggressive...

I thought the point of drafting an ILB so high was so that they could be a complete player and not only cover, but also be a QB spy, and blitzer as well... so far, we might as well as waited to the 4th round and grabbed an over sized Safety to move to coverage LB...

And just to be clear, this is not a knock on Walker... he can do more... but so far, he seems to be limited in what they're asking him to do, basically be a coverage LB.

Also to be clear, I'm not asking for whole sell scheme changes, but I need at least some change ups to surprise the offenses with something different, show them something that wasn't in film in at least one drive, to make the next team be forced to study it.

Just read where Lefluer said they were having Major communication problems the 1st series last night.
Headset problems.
They were having problems getting the Defenses called on time.
The Packers would have won by even more if The offense didn't shoot themselves in the foot the 2nd half.
I'll take the defense giving up 10 points every week.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Barry defense might be getting more predictable as he doesn't change things up... and not making the most of the talent he has, as former NFL players Darren Woodson complained about the Packers play calling in week one.

I saw #7 spy Shields at least one play last night.

And maybe they don't want to show all their cards on defense if it's not necessary. So that the better teams they will be playing (like Tampa bay next week) won't have film and might be caught off guard.
I of course don't know, but that would be a good reason.
