1st Round (28th Overall) DT Devonte Wyatt
1st Round (22nd Overall) LB JaQuavian Walker
2nd Round (34th Overall) WR Christian Watson
3rd Round (92nd Overall) OT Sean Rhyan
4th Round (132nd Overall) WR Romeo Doubs
4th Round (140th Overall) C Zach Tom
5th Round (179th Overall) OLB/EDGE Kingsley Enagbare

7th Round (228th Overall) LB Tariq Carpenter
7th Round (234th Overall) DT Jonathan Ford
7th Round (249th Overall) OT Rasheed Walker
7th Round (258 Overall) WR Samori Toure

When I saw people putting Devonte Wyatt to Packers in round one, I thought, nope, not chance, they haven't drafted anyone over 22 and they won't start now. And bammie whammie, here comes Wyatt.

I'm probably most excited about two of the WR's, Watson and Doubs. I wouldn't be surprised if we add another veteran WR, but also wouldn't be surprised if we stand with what we got.

What do you think about the players drafted?

Good looking group of players.

I am still complaining about the Jonathan Ford pick, but I am never fully satisfied with a draft. I think this was a quality draft by Gute and his staff. We will see in 3 years how good it looks.

Oddly, I'm probably most excited about OL Zach Tom, he might bust, but he also might be another Bakhtiari and anywhere in-between. I can't say Tom will develop like Bakhtiari (and we never know about mentality) but from a strictly physical aspect Bakhtiari and Tom scouting reports seem almost identical to me.

They're both great in pass protection with BOTH good handwork and footwork that work perfectly in pass protection, giving them to potentially to be elite pass protectors. But of course media scouting reports suggest they're too small and lack lack to stay at OT in the NFL (they're almost the same exact size in body dimensions), they lack the power and physicality that a team would prefer at OG, and so they're Center prospects. With the big difference being, Bakhtiari never played Center, where Tom actually had a year or two starting at Center.

But if they can be tough enough to handle NFL physicality and learn to handle the power game, they have the potential to be elite pass protectors in the NFL, which clearly Bakhtiari was able to do.

But pre-draft, I was big fans of Wyatt, Watson, Tom and Enagbare and excited to get them.

I'm shocked that Enagbare almost to the 6th round, which suggest to me that NFL teams don't believe he has future growth. He's less than ideal athletically for edge rusher, but he's physical, got strong hands, and got great length.

Trying to figure out why he dropped, sounds like lack of athletic potential and very low sacks numbers, despite having extremely high win rate... he could beat the OL, but he couldn't finish. But other than athletically, he seem to be above average at everything. Not worried about his physicality at all, and he has great length. I don't want to compare him to Za'Darius, because he's not as athletic, but if I was teaching him, I'd make him study Za'Darius because he's going to have to learn the same exact ways Za'Darius did, which he won't be doing as a rookie, but give it some time (Za'Darius didn't do it as a rookie either).

Good looking group of players.

The Ford pick could have been used on someone with some potential. Not a dude who looks lazy on the tape I saw. "Griping" is probably not the way to describe my thoughts. A little annoyed that the Ford pick is keeping me from being positive about every pick. I hope he turns into a hall of famer, but I see no way in hell he ever becomes a impactful player.

It was a stellar draft otherwise.

In the draft, teams reach for potential traits and Ford has the traits, they're just completely undeveloped, and I doubt they'll developed, a she should be more developed than this. Also, he was the last DT selected, so I guess teams didn't see another DT worth a pick.

Martha Careful (19h) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (19h) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (22h) : Rude!
beast (23h) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
