The Packers are tendering restricted free agent WR Allen Lazard at the second-round level, source says. That comes with a one-year salary offer of just under $4 million.

This is good, we need that guy.

This is a start. Like Adams, they will eventually work out a longer term deal.

This was a safe move. No team is going to give up a 2nd round pick for Lazard.

Usually RFAs play out the year contract, as they have no leverage, it's play for that contract or don't play in the NFL.

Which yeah is true for Franchise tag as well, but they have more leverage. Anyways, RFA normally just play on the year tags u til they're UFAs or get resigned.

Yes we need him, through if someone signs him, I might be taking that 2nd round pick.

I'll take Allen Lazard over 2nd round pick. The guy is a very stout blocker for run game and sneaky deep threat with good hands. You won't get that with a 2nd round pick opening week 1.
