Must be some serious behind the scenes issues for him to get waived when he's been the best interior pass rusher behind Clark the past two seasons. I dont think it's a matter of roster space since they could have just waived Heflin who hasn't been on a game day roster all year.

Edit: Got my games mixed up as the Detroit game was the 2nd game after the Browns that he missed. I thought he missed two with COVID after the Browns. Now I'm trying to remember if he was cleared for Detroit or not.

Texans claim Kingsley Keke off waivers

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about Keke on Thursday and declined to specify why the team cut him.

“I’d rather not get into that one too much,” LaFleur said, via Matt Schneidman of TheAthletic.com. “Sometimes you gotta make some tough decisions.”

LaFleur added that he thought Keke would get another opportunity in the league.

No one is talking about what the issue was, but Clark apparently talked with him and LaFleur thought he'd certainly get another chance in the NFL.

So, I'm totally randomly guessing that it's a mental issue (depression, addiction, anger issues)... and he was seeking help and treatment.

But I still wonder if there might of been other options, such Packers giving him a suspension and putting him on the suspension reserve list with pay (as he doesn't get any extra pay in the playoffs, unless he plays in the Superbowl) for the remainder of this year, to open up a 53 man spot.
