Ok just hear me out, I know people keep saying he will pick the team he wants. But just let's think this way. We trade him to the Jets for 3 1's and a 2nd. Right now they have 2 1's in the top 8 and a 2nd in the top 5 I believe. So they have Zach Wilson right now, who can sit and learn from Rodgers for 4 years ( I believe Rodgers would retire then). Now here is the interesting part they have a ton of cap space to the tune of $54 .5 million. You trade for Rodgers and then get Davante Adams as a FA along with maybe Allen Robinson or his buddy Cobb and sign Robert Tonyan and I think Rodgers would be happy with that cast. He would feel at home with his receivers and throw in what they already have and you have a solid offense. Maybe sneak in Gronk if he would like to try Rodgers over Brady.

By doing that and releasing the Smith brothers you would have freed up around $52 million of cap space and we would get the huge draft stock back. What does Denver or the raiders have to offer in return for a trade as those would be the only available spots out that way.

Just having fun looking at the future.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I read this days ago but didn't think we needed off-season drama while Packers were in the thick of fighting for home field advantage in the playoffs. But, here we are.

Get out your crystal ball: Where will Aaron Rodgers be playing in 2022?

Jeremy Fowler: Denver. Extending the Packers marriage feels like a real possibility based on the way this season has gone -- good vibes, more synergy with the front office and more wins. But the money usually tells the story in the NFL, and Rodgers' contract restructure leaves a $46 million cap hit in 2022. I just don't see the Packers carrying that number for any player, though perhaps they could do a new deal if they really wanted. Denver has a ready-made roster, with a top-10 defense, good line play, good running backs and plenty of playmakers. Rodgers could follow Peyton Manning's late-career playbook.

Dan Graziano: Denver's my pick, too, for all of the reasons you state there and because Green Bay will surely want him out of the NFC if it does (as I still expect) decide to move on. Other interesting potential AFC destinations, to me, include Cleveland (if it decides Baker Mayfield isn't good enough), Las Vegas (if a new administration decides to move on with a different quarterback from Derek Carr, which they might or might not) and Pittsburgh, who will need someone to replace the likely retiring Ben Roethlisberger. Any of those make sense to you if Denver doesn't get him?

Fowler: Those all make sense for different reasons. Rodgers seems to have a public affinity for Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who appears partial to a veteran quarterback in the post-Roethlisberger era. The Raiders are such a wild card, as you mentioned, because we don't know what a new coach or general manager would want. And they have a good starter in Carr. But, if Rodgers' priorities are being on the West Coast and having control over the offense, perhaps Vegas would slide into contention.

The Browns are a fascinating option that probably hasn't been explored enough. From the Odell Beckham Jr. saga to countless injuries, Mayfield has been involved in so many subplots that have distracted from the season. Not all of that is his fault, of course. But he did, in a recent interview with NFL Network's Kurt Warner, allude to "internal things" being an issue for him. That leads to questions about offensive cohesion with coaches or teammates. You just wonder where the Mayfield-Browns marriage will stand at season's end, and if Cleveland, with a talented roster, will pursue Rodgers.

Graziano: The Mayfield situation is fascinating. Current general manager Andrew Berry was in the Browns' front office (though not in his current role) when the team drafted Mayfield at No. 1 overall. But then-GM John Dorsey really made that pick almost on his own from what I understand, and either way the current coaching staff wasn't there at the time. It's not unreasonable to think that two years with Mayfield has or will convince coach Kevin Stefanski he's not the guy who can take them where they need to go. And if they reach that conclusion, you're right, they need to keep all options on the table to maximize the talent elsewhere on the roster.

First off, I'm not totally sure we'd get 3 first round picks for him. No NFL trade has yet involved three first round picks unless it was for a rookie QB on a cheap rookie deal.

Second, why would a team that's not ready to win now give up a ton of draft picks and cap to trade for a single player that's not going to get them over? They then could build around him.

Third, if the Packers traded him, Packers would want him to go to the AFC and Rodgers wants to head West to be closer to his girl in Los Angeles. And most the western teams already got their QB.

Forth, last it sounded, both sides were hoping to resign long term... so a better quemight be were to trade Jordan Love after his 4th year.

If they were to trade Aaron I want 3 #1 or forget it.
Even so, I don't think a trade is in the works. Aaron is going to finish his career in Green Bay. Both sides have already walked back from prior stances.

If they trade Love, I don't think they can wait until after the 4th season. Doesn't the team have to declare they are invoking the 5th year option early in the 4th year? That will be kind of pricey for the new team who can probably sign him long term for less on a per year basis.

And if you don't pick-up bthe 5th year kiss goodbye to any trade value chart as you aren't showing confidence in him. So it's an automatic pick up unless you think he really sucks.

I understand the rationale behind trading to the AFC, but I see the Giants and Washington as a couple of Wildcards. Giants can't be satisfied with Daniel Jones and have some low picks that we could possibly squeeze from them. I also have a bit of a soft spot for Heinicke and wonder whether Aaron could get Washington to Super Bowl contender territory as they are already a playoff calibre team. They do have a pretty solid team which I think would intrigue Aaron as it isn't a rebuild. I would take Heinicke back and some draft picks from Washington even though they are an NFC team.

I’m still hopeful that he will want to stay in Green Bay along with Davante as well.

Throw in a 3rd this year and give them Cobb also. They can sign Adams and maybe another stud Wideout like Allen Robinson and you don't think Rodgers would be happy with that.
