Dianna Russini @diannaESPN On the day in which he could make his final decision, free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. is honing in on the Chiefs, Packers and Saints, per league sources.

If that really is the three, I can't see how he doesn't sign with Packers.

Evan Massey @massey_evan Per source, the #Packers believe they have a good chance to land Odell Beckham Jr. However, a deal is NOT done and he is still weighing options and listening.

Sounds like Beckham wants Packers, but Packers are more "meh" and Beckham wants cash. Something Packers don't have.

The problem is he just absolutely showed that teams can't fully trust him, as he just screwed the Browns (unless they knew he was demanding a trade well before hand).

So yeah teams are willing to bring him it... but you have to do it on a deal where you can kick his butt to the door if needed.

He needs a great second half to rebuild teams trust in his potential...

Bucs have publicly said they're out. I'm not sure why but Cardinals, Rams, Chargers and Bills haven't even been slightly mentioned.

That just leaves Packers, Chiefs and Seahawks. I guess maybe Saints, but who's their QB? OBJ needs a good QB! And Chiefs and Seahawks are currently out of the playoffs looking in...

So unless the Packers tick him off, I don't see why he doesn't do minimum with the Packers.

He demands a great QB... and a shot in the playoffs... not many clear shots of that right now.

Davante Adams on OBJ joining another alpha: "I think he had 1 catch for 6 yards in his last game there, I can promise we can get him more over here---if he's OK with 2 catches for 12 yards, we'll be good"....lots of laughs on that one

Davante is great

Looking at Adams stats, I think you could argue Love game was his worse with 6 catches for 42 yards... he's had games with less catches but more yards, but minimum has been 4 catches.

I just didn't except a very steong majority of OBJ's games to be under 3 catches for 30 yards...

But they are very heavy on the run and short passes.

Everytime you check the story, there is a new #1 place...

Pure speculation here, but I think it's down to Chiefs and Packers... he'd love to go home to New Orleans but he truely wants a great QB and he's starring at Rodgers and Mahomes.

And he's researching how he'd fit in both systems...

Ideally he'd like to chase a Ring, which would be the Packers considering the Chiefs are currently outside looking in...

But you have to consider the system, he hated how he fitted in the Brown's wide zone system and Packers run the wide zone system as well (more aggressive with their passing and less power running, but still similar).

While the Chiefs run an extremely aggressive pass system which OBJ would probably be a lot happier with than any version of the wide zone. But the Chiefs got some very good speed WRs and OBJ might be the #3 even after he gets up to speed behind Hill and their TE, and again, are they going to the playoffs?

Plus is OBJ looking for just end of this year, or long term? If he's looking long term, is Rodgers staying in GB? Packers can't afford to pay everyone...

If the Packers truely want OBJ, they should make sure they try some deep shots this weekend.

But I think the bottom line is does he want to chase a ring (Packers) or does he want system happiness and to try to set something up long term (Chiefs)?

I'm currently thinking he'll choose the Chiefs, unless he's truely want to chase a Ring ASAP... and then maybe sign with his home area of New Orleans once they get a QB (or just get to choose high profile QB again).

I believe he's taking his time because he just turned 29 and is probably thinking 2022 is going to be his last big contract. Do I want a run at a championship or do I want to set myself up for a big pay? Can I do both? What's more important to me, being WR2/3 for a ring, or go to a team that can pay me cash and be WR1?

Honestly, I think he has a lot to mull over. Personally, I'd have taken the veteran minimum to join Packers. I'm all about that Super Bowl and then in 2022 I say OK salary cap took big jump, SHOW ME THE MONEY!!

But, maybe he doesn't want to be on a fourth team in like five years?

I've also wondered if the Packers could of offered him a contract, as of next week, because there is just too much going on this week... specifically at the QB position.

Do you want to bring in OBJ while your QB1 isn't around? QB2 certainly doesn't need any extra distractions should he be the one playing.

Also with Rodgers and Yiadom going to the Covid list, they had two spots available, but bringing OT Bahk back and they're hoping to get Rodgers back means possible 0 extra spots... and you don't want to release a WR that has been practicing all week and knows the game plan and had some chemistry with your QB2 should they be playing.

Dianna Russini @diannaESPN There are teams who are talking to Odell Beckham Jr. that believe the free-agent wide receiver will wait until the games are complete on Sunday before making his final decision, per league sources.

https://twitter.com/diannaESPN/status/1458835567760789507

Waiting for a team to suffer an injury at WR and makes a desperate lucrative offer?

Update: Ian Rapoport just alluded to what I said and also added a nice nugget that Odell seems to want a home for next 2-3 years instead of catch lightning in a bottle for Super Bowl with a one and done.

beast (7h) : What is he supposed to say? He doesn't want players currently on the team?
Martha Careful (12h) : meh
Zero2Cool (16h) : Sounds like Walker and Wyatt will be with Packers for beyond 2026

wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
