Alright, first off, LET'S FOOOKKING GO JORDAN LOVE!!!

The Packers are going to rally the fuck out behind this kid. Every thing we've heard is he is well liked and you already know Aaron Rodgers is going to be giving him pointers via Video Chat. The Chiefs have NO IDEA what to except from this mobile QB and they're going to be checking out pre-season games. That's it. The Packers have the element of surprise on their side right here. Packers have two stud RB's and a Head Coach who is a damn genius. This might be the first time we really see a Matt LaFleur offense.

I'm looking for Love to throw high 60% completions, 2 TD's, 1 INT and probably 30 yards rushing with maybe another TD rushing.

LET'S GO!!!!

Ground game rolls up 150+ yards. GB wins Time of possession. Gets a pick. 3 sacks.

This game will really put a microscope on MLF and his play calls since this will probably be the closest/purest form of his offense scheme that we've seen so far (I'm assuming preseason was vanilla/nothing interesting). Love will probably run it as close as he can to MLFs vision of it vs Rodgers who puts his stamp on it.

What are YOUR expectations? Heck, do you even have any?

He's not going to be Aaron Rodgers, because he doesn't have the experience, and probably hasn't earned the right to have full audible control, and probably not as talented.

It'll be interesting to see how slow or quick they are with the play clock, and how often timeouts get used because they weren't set up in time.

But I fully expect them to lead via the run game, because that's this system and that's when the team has done the best, they're done the worst when they've ignored that, and without Rodgers and currently some of the WRs there is less reason to ignore that.

I think Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes could give our defense a lot of trouble, but our pass rush will do well. But Love shouldn't be judged based on winning or losing, but how he preforms.

We should probably remember that this Jordan Love kid was basically hand picked, first round to take over the Packers offense and lead this team. Personally, that is why I have more confidence with Jordan than say Senaca Wallace, Vince Young, Matt Flynn, Brian Brohm (eek), Brett Hundley, Scott Tolzien etc. Those were (except Brohm 2nd round) little to no risk acquisitions.

I'm excited to see how well Jordan Love does with an offense that is game planed around his skills, even if it's a short week. Also if Love plays as well as Matt Flynn, I'll be thrilled.

So don't expect greatness. I think he will have to ask Love to get it to his receivers early or the Chiefs will just start cheating on the run and make him throw on obvious passing downs.
It's his first start. Keep it as that. He may not play great but there will be those that say he wasn't worth the pick, not any good, blah, blah, blah. If he does play good there will be those that say the future is set. Neither of these will be assured after one game. He's got a coach that knows what throws he can make and knows how to work around personnel issues and he will have as much or more to do with the outcome than Love.

You don't need back shoulder timing because he's going to be coming over on crossers and slants and get behind the single high safety. You wait, you will see.

I generally have a pessimitic outlook on things, but for some strange reason, but like last week, I really like our chances this week.

I think Love would have to be jacked be in a contest against a very highly rated quarterback. I just hope he does not have red zone brain farts.

Mucky Tundra (1h) : Rude!
beast (2h) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (5h) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (8h) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (10h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
