The Packers traded for Los Angeles Rams punter Corey Bojorquez.

He seems solid enough. Looking up his track record, played in the Mountain West Conference and for the Bills, so he should do well in cold/bad weather. Does he do kickoffs at all?

Edit: Looks he did one kickoff for the Bills. Shame. Would be nice if he could take over for Crosby.

JK was pretty good but terribly inconsistent. His coverage let him down time and time again. I don't understand why they have him kick out of bounds. Even if he lost 5-8 yards on his punt that would still be better than what the coverage gang allowed.

I don't put a lot of value in the 6th and 7th round picks but they are worth something. If GB was going to give up both a 6th AND a 7th like it was first reported that would have been slightly annoying.

Looks like the Packers didn't trade JK. They will release him following Bojo's physical.

According to The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue, the Los Angeles Rams have traded punter Corey Bojorquez to the Green Bay Packers, along with a 2023 seventh-round pick, for the Packers’ 2023 sixth-round pick. Bojorquez won’t show up on the roster until tomorrow, as he still needs to pass a physical to officially join the roster, but expect the corresponding move of releasing JK Scott to be announced shortly after Bojorquez arrives in Green Bay.

It’s worth noting that the Packers practiced today with their 53-man roster, though Green Bay’s final cut of the day is yet to be announced, per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. That means that their 2020 punter, Scott, will likely be on the final roster when it’s released, even if his status only holds true for one more day.

Hello everyone - please excuse me if this is easily available somewhere (I'm old, and not too sure how to find this stuff online); but does anyone know what sort of contract situation Corey comes in with ? I saw a quick-message saying that his cap number would be approximately a wash for this season with JK's number going out, but I'm wondering whether or not Corey might perhaps be under contract for a few years to come yet or not ? (would be very helpful if so, given the projected cap issues we're to face next season :-o) Thanks in advance for any insight šŸ™‚

Edit: Forgot to answer, his contract runs out after this season.
