Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert has taken Green Bay and social media by storm in his first preseason with the franchise. From riding around in a Halo costume to joining the locals for Fourth of July festivities to his personable stories in post-practice pressers, Benkert has already proven to be a fan favourite since moving to [...]

If the Packers keep 2 or 3 QB's, I think that will tell us something about Jordan Love. If they keep two, then they are probably confident in Jordan Love. If they keep three, it could be that Kurt is really good, or that maybe they aren't convince Love will be enough. There's other scenarios.

My first 53 (which will change within a day or two) has two QB and Benkert going to the PS.
I don't see it so much as trusting Love as they know the season is lost if Aaron Rodgers is out for an extended period of time. There are too many needs elsewhere. WR 6 or 7. TE issues with Jace suspended. OL with Bak's injury. Probably keeping 4 RB. 5 a slim possibility.

Yeah I'm going two QBs unless you think you truely got a #3 that's too good to lose... Benkert didn't exactly have a ton of interest, and he's been in the system for a little while.

And I believe his former long time head coach's new team need a #2 QB as well... and they didn't seem interested.

At this point, I'm more interested in resigning Tim Boyle when he becomes a FA in 2022 (or someone else) instead of holding a 3rd QB weather love is ready or not... (Jimmy G, Andy Dalton, Ryan Fitzpatrick and more are expected to be FAs in 2022 if we get rid of Rodgers and love isn't ready to go).

Also the Packers are so deep at WR, TE and OL, that they might need extra position more to keep that talent around. And you don't want to go too thin on defense.

I think they will only keep 2 QBs. Rodgers and Love.
If Rodgers goes down the season is lost anyway. There’s no one else they can just plug in and still have playoff hopes.

I think Cobb would be the third emergency QB.

If the practice squad rules are similar to 2020 (easy to put guys on the active roster, then throw them back to PS), there's no reason to keep a third QB on the 53. Unless you think the guy is your future starter but needs seasoning or something, like Love was last year.
