First of all Capers is not riding in on a white horse like General McCarthur with some "we're running the 3-4 by hell or high water" attitude. He will ease into the 3-4 and while it may most often start out looking that way will not be what we actually do when the ball is snapped.
Secondly, did Capers not come into Carolina where they showed a vast improvement in the first year he was there?
We may very well not have all the components a team like Pittsburg has to play the 3-4 like they do. I think the first and best guy out there to know this who can still devise a defensive scheme that can be affective while changing over to the 3-4 is Capers.
I love these Sports Writers. They get their hands on one formation and the next thing you know they become an expert. Trust me this guy doesn't know one tenth of what that one scheme he just laid out really requires to be successful.
