I like Desmond Bishop. Barnett and Hawk are fine but Poppinga needs to be replaced. I don't know if it's #1 priority important but it's important to address that spot earlier than later come the draft

Totally agreed on Popp. Unless he shows some amazing affinity for the new scheme that nobody could have predicted, I think he needs to go. Then again, I've never been very high on him. A good guy in the draft would make me pretty happy about the LB corps.

Kamp will be playing with his hand down 50-60% of the time next season (at least thats what we were told).

And ya who says they wont pull kampman on 3rd and 8plays and put a pass coverage guy in there like chillar.

Because you'd be taking our best pass rusher out of the game. That's the last thing we need. We can barely get any pressure on the quarterback with our best pass rusher on the field.

Now that I think about it, I think I would take Andre Smith in the 1st round if he's there, and Larry English in the 2nd. I think there's plenty of big nose tackles in the draft to take, and I think there's limited rush LBers. I'd say that OT is our biggest need, and then OLB. I say go NT in the 3rd and DE in the 4th.

Like that?

I think its the exact opposite. There are plenty of pass rushing tweeners in the draft and very few NTs that will be of any quality.

'Tis.

If anything, we need more pass rushers on the field, not less.

One of the main reasons why we were 6-10 was because we failed to generate any pressure on the opposing QB.

Though he mostly had positive things to say about the Packers squad, I couldn't help but notice that he hardly gave the team a resounding endorsement. I don't know if personnel guys are prone to understatement, but he threw around the words "okay" and "fine" an awful lot. That sounds a lot like backhanded compliments or even an assessment of "mediocre" to me.

Unless, as I said, "okay" is scoutspeak for "awesome."
