Everyone keeps saying they were "6-10" Aaron's first year. As if Aaron struggled, resulting in the team not being good.

Remember all the injuries on defense that year? That's why we were 6-10.

I certainly haven't read every media report on Rodgers, but has any media suggested that Rodgers has actually suggested this bluff to anyone?

Or is this actually the media's bluff scenario that they're bringing up as a possibility, and hasn't truely been a factor yet outside the media?

I know Hawk was asked about it, and he, using his opinion only, basically quickly dismissed the idea of Rodgers missing a year, as not likely. I'm just not sure Rodgers would even consider that since you only get so many years period.

I do not believe Rodgers will sit out a year. The guy is hyper competitive and he has some really close friends on the team. He knows Green Bay is his best chance to win another Super Bowl and probably equally important to him, get a ring for some of his close friends (e.g. Marcedes Lewis) on the team.

As you insinuated, Rodgers knows he's at the downstroke of his career.

I'm telling you. I really believe this is as Rodgers has said in many more words than this. He has always wanted to play his entire career as a Packers player. That was and is important to him. He felt that was in the bag until Jordan Love was picked. He's said he likes Jordan and based on teammates comments, his actions show it too. He's said he understood the origination has to look for the future.

Rodgers wants control over HIS destiny. That's what this is all about. If you focus on the facts, ignore the clickbail asshole media, that's what this has been and still is. Rodgers has not wavered. People say he's smart and still underestimate the mans intelligence. There is a reason he pauses, taking in a breath, before giving an answer. He's calculating his words.

The Packers have been profusely praising Rodgers and spouting out how much they want him on the team and how important he is. He's going to show up probably during the preseason, and the Packers are going to fuck up everyone in a "us vs the world" galvanizing steamroll. I'm not saying he's going to light the league on fire in 2021 for the Packers front office, hell no. I do think he's miffed at them (why else send the top three out individually?). No, he's going to do it for Bakhtaria, Lewis, Davante, Za'Darius, etc.

This is a dead story that the media won't let die. Shit, they even ADMIT the news cycle is slow and have to create content. They fucking tell us they are bullshitting us and yet so many still tune in. I've stopped because the grotesquely inaccurate comments infuriate me.

Kevin, if you let it infuriate you, then they win.
I actually haven’t read any of the media crap. All I have heard has come from this site.
How much of it is true? Who knows.
And like you said, they have to come up with SOMETHING to write about.....even if they have to make it up.

That is interesting. The CBA requires players to be fine for missing camp.

I will be extremely pissed if the Packers give him an excused absence and don’t fine him!

Yep. I read that a few years ago. Excused absents are spelled out. Things like Grandma died or my kid fell and broke his neck and is in the hospital on life support.

I think it would send a wrong message to excuse Rodgers just because he’s a “star”.
If he had a valid excuse, that I would understand. But so far, he hasn’t given a valid reason in my view. The “it’s about the people” is a line of crap. I haven’t heard what he is saying be explained in any detail. Just something thrown out there as a excuse for his actions.
He already lost 500 grand, so you think another 93 grand will make him sweat?
I want him as our QB. But I’ve lost respect for him as a person.
