https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/04/15/jim-mcmahon-packers-are-the-best-organization-i-played-for-bears-are-where-qbs-go-to-die/

The only starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl for the Bears has made some comments that won’t go over well in Chicago.

Jim McMahon, who started his career in Chicago and ended it in Green Bay, told 1252 Sports that Green Bay was the best franchise he was with in the NFL.

“It was the best team, or the best organization, that I’ve played for of the seven teams I’ve played for,” McMahon said. “By far. From top to bottom it was great people.”

McMahon was the Bears’ first-round draft pick in 1982, won Super Bowl XX with the 1985 Bears, and stayed in Chicago through the 1988 season. He then had stints with the Chargers, Eagles, Vikings, Cardinals and Browns before going to the Packers, where he won a Super Bowl XXXI ring as Brett Favre’s backup. McMahon said the Bears have always emphasized defense and the running game and have never been able to develop a quarterback.

“I think it’s where quarterbacks go to die,” McMahon said.

McMahon isn’t much of a fan these days. Asked what the Bears should do in the draft, he said, “I don’t know, don’t watch them, don’t care. I wouldn’t know what they need or who they’re thinking of drafting.”

He should get some bumper stickers and T-shirts made, stating, "Chicago, home of where NFL QB's go to die" Just ask their last 39 qb's since 1985

Oh....wait......that’s been done already.....😂😂😂🤪

My question to him would be....”then WHY did you wear a BEARS shirt when the Packers went to the White House after SB31???”
Kind of a hypocrite if you ask me. Typical Bears player.

Even knowing about the Bears jersey and the reasoning behind, McMahon's comments came as a surprise to me. Although, I think much is made about it that isn't necessary. The guy just feels the Packers are a better ran organization from top to bottom than the Bears. This feels like old news to me. It also seems strange that so many fans (not anyone here) who believe that to be true, are also the ones complaining the Packers aren't doing enough in free agency, aren't drafting the "right" pieces, etc. It is an interesting

packerfanoutwest (3h) : beer and brats woke? say whom?
beast (3h) : I don't want to get into politics, but how is, beers and brats considered to be "woke"? Food is food...
beast (3h) : That being said, I'm not saying all 100% should be that way, but not surprised if majority are Wisconsin based
beast (3h) : And if everyone has heard of them, then it it probably has less growth potential and less community based

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
