Honestly I really like this scheme, but it also scares me a bit, because the Packers aren't set up well for it at all.
With a Tampa 2 you need a very good coverage ILB (Barnes is decent) but basically Packers don't got that.
Packers basically don't have a #2 CB right now.
And then, with some of these 3-4 fronts.... unless you're using Z
Smith as a 3-4 DE (which Ravens did do with him), we're in trouble with mainly only Clark and hoping Keke takes another step up.
So to fully run these scheme correctly in my mind... we need 3 more defensive guys... and we maybe can get 2.
I guess maybe you can try getting away with a SS in Tampa 2, but then your run defense better be good.
We need JJ Watt or a top CB in FA, we're not getting everything I'm the draft.
And wouldn't be surprised if Gute used a top pick on OT or WR, so it might not be all defense either. And I've been a bit surprised how many top RBs they have seemed to be interviewing.
