In what may end up being one of the dumbest trades ever, the Rams have traded Jared Goff, two first-round picks, and a third for Matt Stafford.

Short of bringing two or three Superbowl wins to LA, it's hard to see this trade working out in the Ram's favor.

Goff has cost the Rams 4 first rounders: one to select him, one to trade up to get him and another two to unload him and his contract. It's a win now move and it makes the Rams offense pretty scary and gets the Lions a lot of draft material to work with as they go full rebuild mode (and will most likely jettison Goff after two seasons as the cap hit declines dramatically after that).

Rams might of traded a 1st and 3rd for Stafford, and a 1st to get the Lions to take Goff's contract off their hands.

I never understood why their GM have him a mega contract one year early to start with.

Also the Rams know they got a short window before it blows up, kinda lucky it hasn't already, finding some great cheaper hidden gem FAs. But they can't keep just spending huge and trading away draft picks and I think this is their last, all or nothing break.



NFC West and AFC North,Packers schedule is going to be brutal next year.
