I'm not 100% sure about this, as the article confused me when I read it...
But reading an article about the Browns claiming a PS players off the Jets PS before the playoffs, it sounded like of they wanted the player to play, he had drive from Jets to Brown's due to NFL Covid rules.
If he flew, he would of had to wait an additional time period because he came in close contact with others on the plane... also there was some distance milage rule.
The article mentioned Seahawks are at a disadvantage, as they're so far away from the rest of the teams that even if a player drove the entire way, it's still such a distances that they'd have to wait that extra period no matter what based on the rules. (which, if true, I'm surprised Snacks didn't have to wait longer).
So don't take that this as fact, but their might be some NFL Covid rules that makes it more advantage to drive vs fly.
