It sucks that the NFC games that matter to us are all late kickoffs. There is a chance that 3/4 of the way through our game, we could find out the niners are up big. What then?

Play to win, because even if up big, they could still then lose...

How do the Seahawks get #1 if the Packers lose? I'm still confused about that. Strength of schedule?

If Packers lose and Saints and Seahawks win, then it's a 3 way tie and the head to head vs the Saints doesn't matter because they didn't play the Seahawks also and the Saints win #1 seed based on NFC Standings as they only lost 2 NFC games, while Packers and Seahawks loss 3 NFC games.

If Packers and Seahawks tie head to head, then the Seahawks take it in common games played...

As if they tied (ie Seahawks beat 49ers in week 17) the Seahawks would be 5-0 in common games played between the 49ers, Falcons, Eagles and Vikings... where Packers would be 4-1 because of their loss to the Vikings.

I read this latest post and thought it was a new thread!

Bears offensive lineman Dan Jiggetts recalled that Phipps changed the plays from runs to passes.

"We're in the huddle and the play comes in from the sideline to run the ball," Jiggetts said. "We're up by 50 points, but Phipps hadn't had a lot of opportunity to play. They're telling him to run the ball and he goes, 'I don't think so.' So he starts putting it back up in the air. It was a beautiful thing. Were we trying to rub it in? Absolutely. We wanted 70 points."

2020's week 16 NFL games are in the book. GB is sitting pretty to get the #1 playoff seed. It is not a lock yet, but I feel comfortable that GB will beat the Bears and not need any other teams help to secure the #1 playoff seed.

So let's assume that GB wins the #1 seed and the Wildcard Bye. As the Packers rest and prepare, the other 6 teams will be battering each other in the Wildcard round. Of the 3 teams that survive, the lowest seed team will face GB (at home) in the Divisional round of the playoffs.

Which team would you most like to see the Packers face in the Divisional playoff round?

Which team will GB most likely face in the Divisional playoff round?

I'd like the Packers to play the Washington Football Team, but I realistically believe that they will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. GB is better now than they were in week 5 when TB beat the Packers 38 - 10. Additionally they will play in the cold of GB this time and even without a full stadium of fans, the home field "advantage" still exist. Also, loosing to them earlier in the year could turn out to be to the Packers benefit. They will know better what does/does not work against TB. Last, GB will benefit from the Playoff Bye with rest and a week without any new game related injuries.

I predict that GB will play TB and the Packers will win the game. I also predict that Seattle will beat New Orleans in the Divisional playoff round. GB will host Seattle in the NFC Championship Game.

If we survive that game, we might just be meeting up with the Seahawks once again. I can only imagine in what kind of ridiculous way we'll lose that one this time.

By defensive points it's by far Cowboys, followed by an extremely distance Cardinals, then Seahawks.

Basically I wanted to avoid the Rams and Buccaneers defenses, at least until the Rams franchise QB got a broken thumb an snow it MIGHT be easier to play them though that also means they'll be running more and they still got the best defense in points in the NFC. Also Washington might have the best DL in the NFL, so not looking forward to playing that, though I think it'd be an easy win of their lack of offense.

The team I think will play the #1 seed is Buccaneers. I'm having a hard time seeing the Cardinals, Rams or NFC East winner winning.... if we let the Bears in, I could see them winning a non-Packers game. But I don't think we're letting them in.

With Bakh's ACL injury, getting that #1 seed is all the more important. Two weeks to brainstorm ideas and practice a new unit.

beast (1h) : If they aren't doing it, then why are you assuming they know how to do it?
dfosterf (7h) : Mackelvie
dfosterf (7h) : Michael Macelvie- NFL teams know how to draft- Why don"t they?
dfosterf (7h) : Youtube
Zero2Cool (12h) : Packers were not selected for the 2025 Hall of Fame game.
dfosterf (14h) : PFOW Out of our division would be a good thing imo
Zero2Cool (16h) : Jameson Williams is done at 24 years old? What? He's a WR, not QB. I'm missing something here haha
wpr (16h) : Tomorrow is almost here.
packerfanoutwest (16h) : would you want him if Pack needed a back up qb?
packerfanoutwest (16h) : JW is done......stick a fork in him
Zero2Cool (18h) : You should. He goes to AFC that helps Packers.
packerfanoutwest (23-Apr) : don't care
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : Lions shopping Jameson Williams?
packerfanoutwest (22-Apr) : Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst says Green Bay’s roster can win, even without adding anyone in the draft.
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : It's a poor design. New site has SignalR like our gameday chat
wpr (22-Apr) : Ah today's Shout was very quick to post.
wpr (22-Apr) : now 3
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : Who? What?
beast (22-Apr) : What is he supposed to say? He doesn't want players currently on the team?
Martha Careful (21-Apr) : meh

wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
