After 45 NFL Games:

Jordy Nelson: 100 Rec, 1268 Yards, 6 TDs

Marquez Valdes-Scantling: 95 Rec, 1636 Yards, 9 TDs

This is just to say, for the love of god, be patient. Let guys develop and don't give up on talented football players.

Nelson had 30 TDs in his next 45 games...

You know you who you are.

Some fans wanted the Packers to get rid of Davante Adams in his 3rd season, after a promising 2nd season.

Look at him now.

I admit, there were times I wanted the Packers to dump him. And as I also am not perfect, I was wrong.
He has made great strides.
I just got frustrated when he would drop an easy pass.
Then he turns around and makes a play like he did against the Lions.
So I know that proves why I’m just a fan and not a coach.
Rodgers is getting towards the end of his career, and there isn’t that much time for the young in’s to develop. The time is now to “win it all”. Who knows how many more years Rodgers has left where he plays at such a high level.
There’s no time left to waste.

When MVS does this consistently, he will have made strides. He's no Jordy.

He MIGHT be a year three Donald Driver. That remains to be seen.

I said it in the the chat that I think when MVS thinks too much it causes him problems on the field. That TD catch yesterday was absolutely beautiful. but it was all reaction.

Taking it a step beyond.
James Jones was drafted the same year as Jordy.
Took him an extra year to finally find his groove.
EQ = JJ. ?
Let's hope.
Allen Lazard is all those Udfa"s that made a year or 2 splash rolled into 1.
Boykin, Allison, were the 2 I remember. There were many more.
I'm hoping Lazard turns out to be closer to a DD!
Future is bright.😎

That makes a lot of sense.
Too much time to think, and he overthinks it, and the ball ends up on the ground.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here gang.....he had a really good game and should promise.

If we see it consistently, then we can start with comparisons.

Nelson had a heck lot more talent in front of him, holding him back... but he did struggle early on, trying to copy Driver's moves/style when they're different types of WRs. Nelson long strides aren't going to do the same thing Driver can with shorter strides.

The thing I never understood about the complaining about MVS and EQ is really, these guys were what, 5th and 6th round picks? They were always going to be low-risk developmental players. So to be all upset that they are making mistakes in their first few years in the league... or even to suggest that they should be cut... Yeah, I don't get it.

I can understand wanting to draft/sign/trade for better WRs. But even if the Packers added a solid #2/3 WR in the last year or two, MVS and EQ would be great developmental #4/5 type players. Young, cheap, tons of potential, that's exactly what you want.
