I just saw on the news where a Packer player said he was “scared”.
Why???
If you are pulled over, don’t fight the cops, be respectful, and there will be no reason to be scared.

What crime did Breonna Taylor commit? Sleeping soundly in her own house?
What crime did Atatiana Jefferson commit? She left her front door open, and her neighbor called the police on her. The police shot and killed her through her window.
What crime did Stephon Clark commit? He was shot multiple times because police thought he had a gun. He had a mobile phone.
What crime did Botham Jean commit? He was shot and killed after an off duty police officer broke into HIS home, thinking it was hers.
What crime did Philando Castile commit? He was shot and killed during a traffic stop after informing the police he was in possession of a firearm he legally owned - he did everything exactly as suggested by the paternalists in this thread, and was still killed.

And these are just recent examples. I can keep going if you like.

Even in cases where a crime was allegedly committed, the use of excessive force is a problem that we need to talk about. George Floyd was held on the ground and strangled to death because he may have counterfeited a $20 bill. Eric Garner was strangled to death because he may have been selling loose cigarettes. Just a couple days ago, Ramon Lopez was held for 6 minutes on the blacktop in the scorching Arizona heat, he died moments later in a cop car. His crime? He allegedly stole a drink from a gas station. Again, I can keep going with examples where black people and people of color have been injured or killed due to excessive force. Jacob Blake is not an outlier, he's merely one more example of a systemic problem.

Additionally, it's very telling that there has been not one single mention in this thread of the white supremacist wanna be cop that murdered 2 people and wounded a third during the protests that were sparked by Jacob Blake's death. The little shit that was allowed to walk past the police and drive home to Illinois before being politely taken into custody. This is apparently not concerning to anyone here? But oh boy, if you resist arrest, you'll get what's coming to you!

The "just follow the law" and "just obey the police" advice really boils down to "just don't be black and everything will be fine". Police murder and imprison black and people of color at disproportionate rates. But then we have people coming out and say "yeah well just don't ever make the wrong move, don't ever make a mistake, and you won't get murdered", and completely ignoring all the times when black and people of color have done nothing wrong, interact with the police exactly as they should and still get killed. Its a recurring problem and to brush it aside is victim-blaming at it's finest.

Since we're on the Chris Rock twitter kick, here's another

The solution to police killing black folks isn't black folks being even more subservient, it's police in general not being, as Chris explains in the above video, so crazy.

Zero2Cool (16h) : Johnson didn't make it until 2020. Ring 2023. 🤷 Personally, he should have been in years prior to Hall.
    Zero2Cool (16h) : HUMP DAY
beast (16h) : Guys that have a good shot at making the NFL Hall of Fame usually get into their teams pretty fast
beast (16h) : Yeah, but is Kampman and the others in the NFL Hall of Fame?
Zero2Cool (16h) : Johnson was Hall of Fame, 2020. Should haev been in Ring a year later, not three years.
    Zero2Cool (16h) : I could be wrong there though
Zero2Cool (16h) : Guys like Kampman, Tim Harris, Al Harris, etc all over 15 years. Hall of Fame is 5 year wait
Zero2Cool (16h) : I guess I see players in Packers Hall come way later
beast (16h) : Yeah, usually teams hall of fames are a much lower bar than the NFL
Zero2Cool (16h) : is it uncommon for Hall before Ring?
    Zero2Cool (17h) : S Xavier McKinney named first-team All-Pro by NFLPA
beast (18h) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (19h) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (19h) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
    Zero2Cool (19h) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (19h) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (19h) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
    Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
