Packers release receivers Jake Kumerow, Reggie Begelton (And others)

The Packers have released wide receivers Jake Kumerow and Reggie Begelton. Today, the Green Bay Packers have to reduce their roster to 53 players. That leaves general manager Brian Gutekunst with some tough decisions to make. And as always, it leads to some surprise cuts. The Packers have started trimming the roster today. According to

Add Turner to the list. Tis a pity. No Illini for the Packers. Maybe they will in 5 or 6 years if they can get a decent football team.

Tim Williams is an interesting one. A saw a few people had him on their 53 man roster. I thought long and hard about him but I think I took a pass on him.
