Thanks, Brett.

I read this kind of stuff and I think back to him walking onto Lambeau Field for his Packers Hall of Fame induction wearing a purple tinted shirt.

When the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers, it set the wheels in motion for Brett Favre to leave Green Bay and finish his career elsewhere, playing first for the Jets and then for the Vikings. Now Favre thinks the Packers' selection of Jordan Love will result in Rodgers playing elsewhere as well. Favre said on Rich [more]

If anyone should know, it’s Favre.
Now a days, great QBs rarely end their careers where they start.
Montana, Manning, Favre and now Brady.
So as much as I hate the thought, it wouldn’t surprise me.
Don’t need “California Psychics” to tell you this might happen.

A lot of Favre's recent comments seem to be him latching on to the Rodgers-Love draft drama and projecting his feelings from 2008 on to it.

To be fair I don't think he said anything too surprising, most greats don't finish their careers at their original teams.

Farve and Rodgers ha e this great buddy-buddy relationship?, Where Favre is semi- speaking up and speaking out for Rodgers?

Where was this relationship just last off-season, when people wouldn't shut up about the Rodgers/LaFleur drama? You know the one that Favre's media friend McGinn recently almost seem to attempt to restart?

Not saying there any connections here, just the timing is odd, I don't remember Favre speaking up on that issue, but he is this one.

Now he is basking in the media spotlights again with his take on a Rodgers/Love rift that has no basis in fact other than Brett Favre's own mind.

If that is not enough, Favre now "magically" predicts that Rodgers will not retire with the Packers as his sole NFL team. From where does he derive his clairvoyant / mind reading abilities? I believe Favre has scars from his GB departure and is now taking advantage of an interview with a reporter following Love's draft to strike back at Rodgers and the Packers, as he also glenn's once more some of the limelight he enjoyed years ago.

As greatly as I respected Favre when he was GB's starting QB, his post Packer/post football actions have sadly diminished him for me as both a Packer and as a public figure.

I think and hope Favre is right.

Aaron is 36 and wants to play well into this 40s. Love has a 4 year contract with an expensive 5th year option, so you want to see him play in year 4, at the very least.... If Rodgers is still playing for the Packers at 42, Love is either a bust of tearing it up somewhere else. I'm not a fan of either option.

I think these "journalists" will try and keep the clicks coming as long as possible. Even if Aaron was pissed he would look like the biggest hypocrite if he took it out on Jordan given how Brett treated him as a rookie.
