His backup might not be on the bench, the entire season... such as if we're up by 30 or something else might happen.

And some have been saying Bak had a down year, though I'm thinking adjusting to the new system and the new system not fitting him as well are a large part to it. He should get better as he gets more used to it, but he might not be able to match his previous years greatness in this system as I think the MM system was PERFECT for his style/strength of playing.

I continue to advocate taking a pass on Winston. IMO, he is an interception machine.

I would rather take my chances in the draft or sign a successful QB in FA when 12 is done....or both.

I want to say I think McCarthy did pretty damn well with Favre. When McCarthy was hired he made Favre sit and watch all 29 interceptions he threw the previous season. Favre also mentioned this saying he was like "man, you know I had some GOOD throws too, geesh" while laughing. The two seasons under McCarthy Favre threw 18 picks, then 15 picks.
