Some people complain because he doesn’t take chances and holds onto the ball too long.
But he doesn’t turn the ball over very often. That of course for the most part keeps your team in the game.

Remember the 2003 Oakland Raiders game where Brett Favre had a really good statistical night? Many claim Favre was great, but he wasn't, he was shitty. What he did well was give his WR's a chance, and that is what (I think) fans want to see more from Rodgers. Throw up more 50/50 balls and let your WR's muscle that ball down instead of taking a sack and risking injury.

I agree, Kevin. Every time I go back and watch that game, I can't help noticing how reckless Favre was with the ball on pass after pass that night. His receivers came through in the clutch for him, bailing him out repeatedly. It was an emotional night to be sure, but the real story of that game was the incredible play of the receivers, not Favre's skills as a quarterback.

Even during the game the heads were fawning all over Bret. I was dumbfounded. Glad GB won. Glad it helped him get through the nite but at least give the WRs some credit for coming to his aid. His dad would have kicked his ass for playing like that.

Very true Wayne.
It was a night where his WRs played way beyond what normal humans can do. Favre just threw the ball up, and his guys went crazy.
That, and the Raiders were not as good.
Everything just fell into place.
