Gary & Keke were in the car with him. None of them were under the influence, according to the cop. The blunts were in the back of the car in a bag. When questioned about it, Smith immediately said “what weed?”, he then went on to say “I’ll take the blame, put it on me.”
That makes me feel like it was either Gary’s or Keke’s. Smith just took the fall for it.
Also, he was speeding in a work zone in the evening. I can’t say for sure, but they probably weren’t actively working on the road. I know for a fact that it’s easy to accidentally speed in a work zone.
Not giving him a pass, just saying look at all the facts and understand the whole situation before raking him over the coals.

And as far as speeding in a work zone, signs are posted. If you make the decision to speed in one, you get a ticket. And 20-24 over the speed limit is not as small mistake. That means he was really going far over the posted
limit.
I don’t think anyone would make a big deal had pot not been found in the car. He would get a ticket, and it would be done.
If you get pulled over with an open container of alcohol in your car, you get busted whether you’re under the influence or not.
Pot was in the car. It never should’ve been.
As I said before, think this won’t make the NFL drug test all of them constantly now?
All I need to know was that it was in the car, and NEVER should’ve been.
Just plain stupid. No excuses.
Just to be clear, I don’t hate these guys, and we are all just human. I’m just really disappointed with them. They now will reap the results of their decisions.
Kids (and us old geezers) look up to them. Not a good thing in this case.
