This concept is what drives me nuts. People look at the current roster and be like why we draft X player when we have Y player. They don't consider salaries or age or anything. They treat the draft like free agency. Free agency is to fill holes now. Draft is for future.

And I can't find the article right now, but I could of swore LaFleur said his number one goal is to take the pressure off the QB and protect the QB.... which raises the question, if you're taking the pressure off the QB, whom is it going onto? It's not disappearing... it's going to the RB... which LaFleur gets more involved into the game plans, getting the RB more one on ones and mismatches, in the passing game and not getting away from the running game too much.
