I thought so at first, but watch his eyes. If he intended to throw it away, he was locked in on throwing the ball away to that specific area for about a second before he pulled the trigger - which makes no sense.

Obviously, it was Williams and not Jones who caught this pass, but interestingly, Jones says that he spent the entire offseason preparing for the huge role the running backs would play in the passing game under the LeFleur regime:



I think we can all agree that 1) it shows and 2) it's paying off in spades.
