Fitzgerald isn't a bad pick, but I would say Kurt Warner if they go that route.

Ed Reed, they need to have a defensive guy on there for a change. If not Reed, Fitzgerald would be my second choice.

Also, I think they picked a pretty poor name for it. Should've have been Madden NFL 2010, pronounced 'Twenty-Ten'.

Even pronouncing it 'Two-Thousand and Ten' would be better than just 'Ten'.

Yea man I like how Twenty-Ten sounds. I wish give props to defensive players period. Whens the last time a defensive player even got a MVP?

The last defensive player to be MVP was Lawrence Taylor in 1986. The only other was Alan Page in 1971. Since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, there have been 24 MVP quarterbacks and 12 MVP running backs, plus the two defensive guys and one placekicker, Washington's Mark Moseley in 1982, a strike year when the regular season was just nine games.

I like Larry F on there but I agree, Ed Reed has been so dominant and consistent at his position he deserves it more than anyone else.

I think the same about Ed Reed and Fitzgerald. Both of them would be great picks for the madden cover.

Everyone is forgetting the defensive MPV though. I mean, he even had one of the biggest highlights in the SB by returning an int for 100 yards.

Closer to home, although I doubt they'll put two Packers one the cover in back to back years, Charles Woodson. I have Deion Sanders heared talking about him being his defensive MVP during the regular season pretty often. He was (maybe) the best coverage corner last year.

I believe Ray Lewis was on the Madden cover one year i believe it was the 200o cover (somewhere around there)
