I think Rodgers has a better O-line.

I assume you mean this coming season ... arod had 34 sacks cutler 11; granted smarts can keep you from getting sacked but having a solid Oline plays a huge roll.

Look at the titans Oline.

arod has great receivers to throw too; I like our tightends also we just dont use them enough. Jones, nelson, DD, jennings - man but those 4 guys on the field with a good Oline and we will just tear up their secondary.

Cutler has an ego and will do everything to prove his worth and flip off McDaniels. I see him having a great season even with Chicago's limited offense. I think A-Rod proved he was a future Pro-Bowl QB last season. Give this guy a decent O-line and with the weapons we have he'll put up big numbers. Too close to call in my opinion.

Want another balanced read on the subject..

Welcome, Jay Cutler...

As far as whom will be better, time will tell. Out of the gate, Rodgers has the overall better supporting cast of skill players around him.. both lines have questions surrounding them and both Cutler and Rodgers can make plays as the blocking is breaking down..

It was the one thing missing in the past about 20 season in the NFC north.. a classic QB rivalry within the division.

Mr Cutler.. I hope we introduce you to your new division with a crushing loss... maybe a pick returned for a TD by Woody. ;)

One thing is for certain.. no matter their QB.. the Bears still suck.

One other thing.. we will find out shortly whether the Rivers/Cutler feud was more upon the shoulders of Cutler or Rivers... one of them will have to find a new target.

Just want to throw up a couple of variables into the debate. What about what happens if Greg Jennings doesn't get a new contract this year? Anybody besides me think he might be motivated to put up some good numbers? Anybody gone onto youtube and typed in "Jordy Nelson" in a search box?

We are ARMED for an incredible passing game...IF we can get a decent line game. PLEASE give this kid about .3 more seconds on average...the results could be fairly amazing.

Also, EVERYONE seems to think and say:

"Well, Cutler has a cannon of an arm."

"Cutler has Aaron on arm strength."

Not that it matters much, as we have bigger fish to fry, but I still say:

Prove it.

Yes, I know all about the draft prognostications, etc. I submit that Rodgers has gotten stronger and stronger riding that pine behind Brett those three years, and we all saw it... we were watching...maybe not the national media, because we WERE 6-10...but WE SAW it. Homerism? Maybe. I will see your homerism and raise you one overly hyper-critical Favre-love skepticism.

Aaron Rodgers shucked that ball as well and as hard as anyone, even with his shoulder problems.

I was amazed at the arm strength of Arod. I was firmly planted in the camp of "no more lasers once Brett was gone".

I was wrong.

I will put Arod's arm up against anyone's.

Others agree

"He has a cannon," wide receiver Greg Jennings said. "We call him the 'Human Jugs Machine.' He throws it like a Jugs machine every time.

"He can make every throw on the football field, and his deep ball is one of the prettiest. Brett had a great deep ball, but Aaron has a beautiful one."

Jennings said there are some throws Rodgers makes that have more velocity than Favre's. As a young receiver, Jennings can only speak about Favre in his later years. "We knew that coming in that Aaron throws a lot harder, so it's not a surprise," the third-year Packer said.

I was in the same camp. I was even sort of 'saddened' by the thought. I always liked seeing a ball zip through the air! While watching other QB's throw and seeing it just kind of hang forever was boring. It was great seeing ZIP out of the Favre's hand and then SLAM into the WR's hands. I'm glad that Rodgers has a cannon too!

Make no mistake about it though, I believe at the same age, Favre had a stronger arm. that's just my opinion. I watched that Bengals game and WOW, those were brown streaks and I'm not talking about the ones in Cheesey's tighty whites that are sewn shut with green floss either.

I have not seen this posted, and it is a good read.

Heretofore, I am posting this... This article is EXACTLY how I feel about the change in the QB Structure in our division.

I personally do not feel at all threatened by the Bears "HUGE" Give........ To Get in the Trade with the BRONCOS.

Aarron is going to be very special.... We, as fans are blessed.

RP - I didn't read the link yet, but I'll have to say...

One thing I really like about you is your love for Aaron. Aaron in '08 won me over. I was a HUGE BF fan (still am), but if anyone was going to replace our beloved QB, I'm glad it was Aaron Rodgers.

Cutler may have the stronger arm, but I've seen Aaron complete 40+ yard passes consistently, just like BF does.

And who cares about stronger arms if you can't complete a pass? Who's that guy on the Raiders who can throw from the 50 yard line on his knees through the goal posts? Wow. Neat-o trick. But when it comes game time, who's completing deep passes? AR, that's who. Not that Raiders guy. Don't mean to diss your fave team, but I'm giving comparisons here.

Cutler is a damn good QB. But if I had to bet who will finish '09 with more TDs and a higher completion percentage, I'll put my money on AR over Cutler.

Speaking of which, my Niner friend thinks Cutler is better than Aaron. I think I'll bet him a bottle of really good Scotch. I don't drink Scotch, but I should. Scotch has a sophisticated air to it, and I'm a sophisticated man. Any suggestions on what I'll be drinking at the end of the '09 season? Thanks in advance.

Rodgers will have a better completion perception because he's throwing to the Fab Five and Cutler is throwing to the Who Five?

That was more of a joke than anything. I do think Rodgers is more accurate than Cutler.
