I have not seen this posted, and it is a good read.

Heretofore, I am posting this... This article is EXACTLY how I feel about the change in the QB Structure in our division.

I personally do not feel at all threatened by the Bears "HUGE" Give........ To Get in the Trade with the BRONCOS.

Aarron is going to be very special.... We, as fans are blessed.

:thumbleft: Ya man I agree. It could go back and forth tho. I like the fact that our QB is not a big baby. I also like the fact Aaron Rodgers was rank #4 best QB in stats right behind Cutler but Cutler no longer has the same offense..Considering Rodgers did this in his whole 1st year starting is pretty amazing. Cutler is good and overall has a better arm but has shown he is not a leader n proves he'd quit on his team if something goes bad. I also overall think Orton will have a better year in Denver.

That was one of the most balanced articles I've ever read on the topic. I found it eye opening that Cutler's 500 additional yards came on 80 additional attempts. Give Rodgers those 80 extra attempts (instead of, say, running inside the red zone) and he no doubt would have passed that mark as well.

The author lost me a little in the first sentence. Who are these pundits who have dubbed the Bears future NFC North champions? The most positive articles I've read merely say that the Bears have a better shot at the division with Cutler. I think the Vikings and Packers are still the favorites to win it.

I like Rodgers a little better than Cutler, but it's very close. I think Rodgers will have a better season than Cutler statistically, probably even more than last year, because he has better receivers. Cutler's best friend in Chicago will be his defense, and even that is pretty iffy, as the Bears' defense needs to bounce back from a mediocre season.

His a Vikings fan assuming that the only competition they have is the Bears so his just using A-Rod to pretend his not scared of the Bears and that Cutler is over-rated etc... but he doesn't realize that A-Rod is going to destroy the Vikings 🙂 and the bears and we will once again reign the NFC North.
Glad To Be A Packers Fan.

The guy writing this article is a moron. He's basically comparing apples to oranges. How can he compare Rodgers an Cutler when they played on two very different teams and the Broncos had to go through 8 different Rbs and had the worst defense in the league. Were Cutler's ints and incompletion numbers inflated by the fact that the opposing defenses knew that Denver had no other option than to throw the ball? In my opinion, I think Rodgers is very good, I also think Cutler is very good.
I think Rodgers has better receivers, I think Cutler has better tight ends.
I think Cutler has a better running game, I think Rodgers has a better O-line. I think Cutler has a better defense backing him as the Packers are switching this season to the 3-4 and Chicago's defense is still near tops in the league for takeaways. Chicago also has a better Special teams unit than GB. This season should be very interesting. Minnesota will definitely be looking over their shoulder this season. We'll find out who the best QB is in the North after the 09 season is over and not a moment sooner. I can't believe people get paid to guess and speculate on paper before the battle has even begun. "experts" are funny. Both QBs are really good.

By that standard, Orygunfan76, how can you ever compare any two quarterbacks -- or any two players for that matter? They play in different systems on different teams.

Any one else think it kind of funny that A-Rod is going into another season in which he's going to get compared to another QB constantly? Well he'll forever be compared to Favre but now its Cutler. I think fans will mostly do most of the comparison but actually dont mind.I am mostly saying that because he did extremely well when everyone was doing this about him and Favre after every game. So I think its just something that might keep A-rod on his feet and might try a little harder. Then again Aaron Rodgers would do good ether way!!!

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
