I had the Chicago radio station WSCR on for a few minutes this morning. They had a guest NFL expert on who was talking about tonight's game with the morning host.
When I tuned in the radio host/dude said let's talk about the match-up that everyone is talking about. Which player is going to have the better game? Amos or HHCD.
First of all it isn't a match-up as they are never on the field at the same time. Next it doesn't really matter which one has the better game tonight. The question is which player is the better fit for their team for the season. Which player will help their team more.
He then went on to say that Green Bay is paying too much money for Amos. Then followed it up with: I guess they have to pay overpay to get anyone to go to Green Bay. I guess he conveniently forgets all the draft picks they had to give up for Mack not to mention the 6 year $141 million. $90 of it guaranteed. That's just a bit more than the 4 year $37 for Amos.
The guest expert ignored the rant and said that's the way it is in the NFL free agent system these days. A team has to overpay for decent players.
I realize the radio talking head is simply pandering to his audience but it's a pity. I was glad to get out of my car before they talked any more.
