Okay, I was wrong... maybe the Packers should have traded for Clowney... it cost the Seahawks a 3rd round pick (which they might get back two year later in the form of a 3rd (or 4th) round comp pick if Clowney plays well and gets a new contract from another team (or not if the Seahawks agree to sign him long term).... but the Seahawks also got the Texans to pay for half of his 2019 salary!

Texans straight up screwed themselves on the Clowney decisions of when and where to trade him. Should of traded him when he could still sign multi-year deal that teams would have been more interested in him...

I never said that and never thought about it, just said that my position that the Packers shouldn't of been interested at the point was wrong as the Texans have up a lot more than I ever thought they would. (Also I didn't realize teams could agree to split a contract payment like that).

So I'm saying that the Packers should have been interested... not saying a thing about Clowney interest.

I thought the initial reports were just speculation and fan rumors, first credible list I personally saw had 5 teams names and Packers weren't one.

But Seahawks are only paying half of the tag salary, which might make it worth it for a year.

beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
