I can certainly see why you might feel that way. While his actions on the field were certainly attention drawing for me they were more of an extension of excitement and exuberance and they didn't fit the bill for me as a typical prima donna. To me being a prima donna carries over to off the field antics as well and I certainly never saw that from Clay. To me his off the field persona never really meshed with his on the field theatrics.

I think his comment about his number was nothing more than a little joke which seems perfectly in line with they way I always perceived him.

I can very easily see him becoming the next Jennings or Finley in the minds of many Packer fans. He was a player that many fans felt was way overpaid by the end of his career and some fans like to hold that against players. I get the impression that a lot of fans will be willing to turn on him in a heartbeat at the first sign of anything negative coming from him. I've seen it to a small degree already with this little non news story. People telling him to get over it and calling him butt hurt and crap like that. Just wait until he dares breath anything that can be construed as remotely negative about Rodgers and he will become the next ex Packer pariah.

Without Greg Jennings ' TD in the superbowl I'm not sure we win. Liked him when he was here, turned into an idiot immediately after leaving.

I don't think the fumble happens without Clay. He told his teammates Pitt was running his direction before the snap and he was prepared.

Put The Pack up 21-3.

He called his 2nd.
There is the clip of him on the sidelines telling the coaches "put anyone in the 3 and run the corner they can't cover it"
Greg torched Polamaula on the play.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I’m not angry with CM3. He had a couple excellent years. Big in the SB year. He just fell WAAAAY off after that.
Something that bugged me was his reaction with the fans. I used to go to watch them practice several times. I never saw him sign an autograph, just ignore fans, even the kids.
One time it was just me and one lady, standing by the fence about 20 feet away from his car. We practically begged him to come over and sign for us. He didn’t even look at us and said “I’m busy”, got in his car and drove off.
Would have taken him less then one minute.
Without the fans, they wouldn’t be millionaires.
The opposite of some of the players I have been fortunate enough to come across.

My pure wild guess is they gave Gary a list of the open roster numbers and he choose that one, vs them selecting it.

Gary, a first-round draft pick, said Friday he requested 52.

It perhaps for a different reason than expected, but the former Michigan star did realize it was Matthews’ old number.
