It's nice to see the team acquire talent outside the draft or waiver wire. Even if they all are a failure it at least appears as if they are not going into a fight with one hand tied behind their back.

I agree. It only becomes a problem when you're consistently up there, though. New Orleans and Kansas City spend $ 140 million and $ 120 million, respectively, last year.

The next draft class coming up was pretty good, though, so I don't see us going after expensive FAs, rather than resigning our own guys next year. Hopefully this years draft class will have a guy or two who makes an immediate impact, as well. That's where the real value is at.

The Packers had no "2nd contract" guys on the roster to worry about.
Trading Randall and Ha Ha last year eliminated everyone from 2015 draft. Ha Ha was 5th year.

So far Gutey is keeping the guys he signed and letting the others go as their contracts expire.

Kept Graham and Lewis, let Kendrall walk.

That's what GM's do.

Next year will probably be a little different.
