Legends. It's the 19th hole. No, not the bar, the hole you get in the helicopter to tee off. The helicopter ride is included with the $220. greens fees, on what is also (arguably) the best golf course on earth. Oh, btw, get a hole in one, you get one million dollars. No bullshit. Check out their website, and also double click on the pic with the youtube designation. It takes 30 seconds +/- for your ball to land.

The most amazing golf hole on the planet; #19

Padraig Harrington is the first man on earth to par it. Watch the video, though, he was almost at least tied in that regard...

Wow, that hole would be awesome to play.

I played a course in AZ with a few hundred foot drop par 3s this year, but this hole is just crazy.

Ouch, being afraid of heights doesn't help there.

That was pretty cool to see though, although I wouldn't think of doing that myself.

I just hope that the first guy to ever ace this hole is also a parachutist...That is the only thing that could happen that would make "his" story more implausible to his audience at the bar. Hell, he probably wouldn't even need the million dollars that the resort paid him for the hole in one. He could make that in bar room bets based on the truth of his statements... I can hear him (and some MIGHTY SUSPICIOUS bar-buddies hearing it) now:

"Ya, me and my buddies played that new course that folks have been talkin' about, and we got to drinkin' so by the time we got to the 19th hole I had a pretty good load on. They took us up to the tee box for that particular hole in a helicopter. I hit a pretty good driver on the par three, it went about five hundred yards forward-wise, but you know, it bein' up on top of a mountain and all, it took about thirty seconds for my ball to hit, so I wasn't really all that sure about the shot. I didn't wait for the spotters they got on the green to tell me where my ball hit, I just said screw it and went ahead and b.a.s.e. -jumped the bitch from the tee-box down to my ball. I was really surprised when they told me when I landed that I had got a hole-in-one... Oh, and by the way, they gave me a million bucks for the hole in one...Can you believe it? All in all, a great round of golf, I got it on video, they include that with the round." "What's that? How much did I pay for this round of golf that included helicopters and b.a.s.e. jumping? Oh, I don't know, I think it was a little over 200 bucks, what with the video and souvenirs they give ya...course that includes the other 18 holes and the cart, plus a bunch of golf balls and stuff."

TELL ME he couldn't make a shit-load of money telling THAT story in any "19th hole" bar in this country. :thumbleft:

I wanna play that hole now... however I think I would back my stance up a bit.. I tend to over swing once in a while with Lefty... maybe a 300 pound hole in one.

Well I feel safe in a plane. I guess the thought of standing on a ledge like that just kind of freaks me out.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
