Interest in this thread has been good, but posters are not stepping forward.

Offer your advice, suggestions, ask questions, etc.

It might be about your sterrio, or TV, or your PC, or your smartphone, but post your electronic's issues here.

Over the years I have had several laptops batteries die. I replaced it once or twice. Used it as an excuse to update a time or two. My last computer stated to act squirrely and wouldn't boot at all so I got a Chromebook. Afterwards I pulled the battery and left it out for an hour and then plugged it back in. The computer works but the batter doesn't hold a charge anymore. I still use the old one for a few things but always leave it plugged in.

There a re great site I have used for years when I get a bug of some kind. I don't stop by very often and it seems like they change the way they work. It's free advice from people around the world. I made a donation to one tech. Others ask me to donate to charity.

I must bow to those that have a fuller understanding of computers. The technology advances almost daily. Use this browser, no use our browser and the same for EMail, Security Software, and on and on and on. Money is behind it all and so trust becomes my prime issue. They all want your money or to use you so the can make money. Then too, at least 2 to 3 times each year we hear how this large bank or that large Retail concern has been hacked and millions of accounts have been compromised.

IMO, for the protection of all, I believe that stricter penalties and more cyber law enforcement officers need to be adopted. The Dept. of Homeland Security and the FBI would need more personal and cooperation to combat this threat. In the end it would save more than it would cost. This is not a left or right issue, but a everyone issue.
